Story
Vegas and Safari are a bonded pair. They've spent their whole lives playing, sleeping and eating together. So, ideally, they should be adopted together.   They have zero history of biting/aggression, And play well/safely with humans (including babies) and other dogs. Strong prey drive, however—they do love to chase cats, squirrels, skunks, etc.   House-trained, good on-leash (they pull at first, but calm down quickly), And very high-energy.Great for somebody who enjoys hiking frequently.   Both are healthy, not spayed, and they eat mostly kibble (Costco brand Lamb is their favorite).   KEY INFO ABOUT EACH DOG:1. VEGAS Age: 4 years (born ~April 2021) Breed: Unknown, but I suspect German Shepherd / Rottweiler mix Weight: ~60lbs Temperament: Loyal (strong recall, easy to take on off-leash hikes) Protective (initially barks at strangers/intruders but warms up to people quickly) Athletic (loves to play fetch for hours, especially with those orange Chuck-It balls) Strong chewer (goes through the toughest of bones with remarkable efficiency) Anxious when bored (can get whiny/fidgety) 2. SAFARI Age: 3 years (born ~April 2022) Breed: Husky/Malamute Weight: ~50lbs (she was the runt of the litter, I call her a mini-husky) Temperament: VERY friendly (instantly loves every human & dog she meets, great with kids) Playful (likes to wrestle and chase, but not really into fetch) Adventurous (can be a bit of an escape artist, not good off-leash) Mischievous when bored (she will chew up your belongings if left unattended too long) ***THIS IS A COURTESY POST THESE DOGS ARE NOT AT ANIMAL SERVICES*** If you are interested in meeting these dogs please contact Connor at (925) 639-0094 or by email irias.connor@gmail.com March 7, 2026, 9:32 am

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Everest is a striking Shepherd x Husky mix with unique heterochromia and an even more beautiful personality. He is, quite simply, a total love bug. Everest lives for affection. Start petting him and he will happily melt into you, sometimes quite literally trust-falling into your lap. His favorite place to be is right by your side, soaking up attention and companionship. He is one of our easiest dogs to walk, enjoys treats, and takes them gently. Overall, he is a wonderfully sweet and people-oriented dog who just wants to be close to his humans. Everest can be somewhat reactive toward other dogs, so he may do best as the spoiled only dog in the home. That said, if you already have a dog and are interested in Everest, you are welcome to bring your pup to your scheduled appointment for a guided dog-to-dog introduction. Schedule an appointment to meet Everest at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.org May 20, 2026, 12:01 pm

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
OJ is a handsome, all black German Shepherd. Despite his size, he's a calm, easygoing guy with a medium-to-low energy level. He enjoys playing fetch but is happiest when lounging around the house. OJ prefers relaxed, easy walks and would thrive in a laid-back home with a low to medium activity level. He is fully house-trained and potty-trained, making him an easy companion. He is highly food-, toy-, and treat-motivated, and is a very mellow dog that would be the perfect road trip buddy. He would do best as a spoiled only pet, where he can soak up all the love and attention.______________________Report on OJ's day out:I had another wonderful day out with OJ! He does so well in the car and is definitely NOT a morning dog, because he tried going back to sleep. We went on an easy walk and saw plenty of small critters and other dogs. A large dog lunged at him and he was completely non-reactive. We also ran into another volunteer, and OJ sat patiently while we chatted. He is such an easy house guest, too. My other dog wasn't happy to be excluded from the party, and OJ didn't mind the meowing behind the door. He is such a chiller and the perfect dog for an outdoorsy family. Whoever ends up with him will be hitting the jackpot. Love this guy so much!!_____________Report on OJ's Spa day:I took OJ to Pet Supply for a midday bath and blow dry.At first he was unsure, but I hopped in the tub first and he followed me right in.Once he was in the bath, he just sat there patiently while I got to work.He ignored all the noise and was just happy to be there. He let me scrub him all over, towel dry, and blow dry him.OJ is a VERY close second to my greatest shelter love...____________To make an appointment to meet a very clean OJ, please go to yoloshelter.org/adopt.May 20, 2026, 12:01 pm
