He is a good dog, loves kids and he currently is with another big dog. He doesn’t bite and will follow basic commands like sit lay and stay. He is super smart (can learn new tricks in 15 min), fixed, house-trained and a big love bug. No health issues that I know of. He isn’t high energy or require hours of exercise but definitely loves to be outdoors and has gone on 5 mile runs with me without any problems. He’s usually content lounging by his person’s feet and getting pets though. He is good with cats and my sister’s chihuahua- I’m sure he would be fine with other dogs after a slow introduction too. He’s been around kids and does better with older kids since they would give him space. He has a little anxiety when left on his own and has bit into cardboard boxes but he does fine being alone for hours if he’s left with a chew toy or something else to distract him   *** PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS A COURTESY POST AND SPARTY IS NOT AT THE SHELTER. Our friendly, energetic GSD mix Calliope is 8 years old. We recently welcomed out first baby to the family and the transition has been tough on Calliope. Unfortunately Calliope is jealous and her behavior is anxious & nervous around the baby, with frequent pacing and whimpering, which is worrying. She has not been aggressive, but she is clearly frustrated. She was accustomed to frequent attention & vigorous exercise, which realistically we can no longer provide. After much deliberation we've decided rehoming is the best option. Calliope spent several years doing off-leash pack walks where she got great socialization with many dogs and honed her off-leash & recall skills. She then spent several years as an office dog. We have 2 cats who she gets along very well with. All in all she's a great dog, but her behavior around the baby is causing concern and we desperately want to avoid the shelter. Darco is such a loving baby and so sweet great with kids and barely barks he is a indoor dog and is potty trained you just have to let him out he likes to sleep on a blanket next to you he doesn’t like to be left alone for long periods of time he is still a puppy I want him to be with a loving family just like he is he does only eat one kind of dog food and will eat table food he cannot have bones like chicken wing or steak ones and he doesn’t like the car but will ride in one I’m so sad we have to give him up but are londlors won’t let us keep him when he is perfect!
