Hi, I'm Charlie! I had quite the adventure before landing here! I was on the run for a while before I was finally caught and brought to the shelter. Sadly, no one ever came looking for me, so now I'm ready to find my next chapter with someone who truly appreciates a shepherd like me. When you first meet me, I might seem a little hesitant and barky - it's just my shepherd instincts kicking in. Give me a little time, though, and you'll see how quickly I warm up. Once I'm comfortable, I'm all about the affection and being close to my people. I'm still young and learning, and when I get excited I can be a bit jumpy and mouthy. I don't mean any harm - I just need someone to help teach me polite manners and how to channel my enthusiasm. The good news? I'm a smart guy, and training should be a breeze for someone willing to put in the time. I'd do best with respectful kids who understand that I'm still figuring out the best ways to say hello and play nicely. I'd also enjoy having another dog friend who can match my energy and help me burn it off.
