Story
8 year old Max was adopted 4 years ago by his owner at age 4. His foster thought him to be an Ocicat. We have assessed his behavior traits, coat pattern, body type, and other identifying features concluding that Max is a purebred Brown Spotted Bengal. Max is highly intelligent, clever, and very social with humans. He will follow you around, is talkative, has opinions, and will engage in conversation with you. Max loves to lie in sunny places. He especially enjoys the garden window. He is a faithful computer assistant and will help you with keyboard keystrokes too. He's all about being engaged with you !
Max sometimes chews on things he shouldn't, like stuffed animals and blankets, so it is best to keep them away from him.
Since his successful urinary surgery 4 years ago, Max has had no reoccurring urinary issues. Max eats a prescribed a urinary diet, and has always been litter box perfect. His last Vet check was June 2023. Max is healthy, a future dental cleaning was recommended.
Here is what Max's owner says about him: "Max is an incredibly sweet, social, loyal, playful, snuggly cat who would love your attention and devotion. Max will greet you (and anyone who comes by) at the door, talk to you about his day, fetch crinkly ball toys, bring you your slippers and trot after you everywhere you go in the house. He wants to sit on a chair next to the kitchen counter so he can watch you cook. He would love to snuggle up next to you at night and greet you in the morning with loud purrs. He is incredibly smart and curious, often opening doors and trying to figure out how to overcome any obstacles that get in his way. He has tons of energy and LOVES to play! His affection and loyalty means that he thrives being the only pet in the home, so he can get all the attention you have to give. Max has been an amazing companion, but unfortunately is too aggressive towards our other cat, that is a FIP survivor, which is a huge stressor for us all. He really needs to be in a home where he will be the only pet or he gets quite jealous. I want him to go to a home where he will get all the attention he needs and deserves and will be less stressed."
Max will do best as an only cat in a high energy cat experienced home. He would do best with respectful children age 10 or older that will love and play with him, always being mindful that Max stays indoors. Max will bring a lot of joy and devotion to the lucky adopter that loves the Bengal breed!
Max is neutered, vaccinated, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his owner in San Mateo.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Max please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam Hansen at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290 8408. If you are unable to reach Pam Hansen please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
