I would love to introduce you to little Bella! A gorgeous classic black tabby with fur that will remind you of silk and picturesque green eyes and although we are unable to confirm her parentage, we see Bengal breed characteristics and think beautiful Bella is a Bengal mix. Coming into rescue, Bella was naturally very scared and shy. It’s a completely new world for her to be loved and cared for but slowly she has recognized that being loved is a good thing! This past month Bella has really started to come out of her shell and not only enjoys affection and attention but demands it! Her communication skills are spot on and enjoys a good conversation with you. Pets and brushing are among the things highest on her loves list and while shes not yet an official lap cat, she does like to be close to you. Bella is FIV+ and although FIV is a lifetime diagnosis, she can easily live a long normal life with a few minor adjustments. Cats with FIV must live indoors and can happily live with other indoor, non-aggressive cats. Regular vaccinations, and treatment for fleas, mites, and worms are also important, so a yearly checkup is crucial to this loving girl. She recently had a checkup with our veterinarian and noted no health concerns. We think Bella would do best in a calm quiet home as either an only cat or with another gentle non-aggressive kittyn. Bella is truly an amazing girl with so much to give to a loving family. Bella is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento. Raji and Lakshmi MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Adoption Fee: $350 for the pair Bengals in need of a new home as soon as possible due to a recent tragic disruption in their lives. Their elderly owner was hit by a car while using a crosswalk resulting in serious long term injuries. This devastating circumstance has made it impossible for these dear kitties to remain in their current home. Raji is a handsome purebred Brown Spotted Bengal and Lakshmi is a luxurious coated purebred Cashmere Bengal. They are a bonded pair and in need of a new home as soon as possible due this tragic disruption in their lives. A neighbor is currently seeing that they are fed and cared for in their home. Her daughters, who are visiting, have reassured their Mom that a good home will be found for them where they will be loved, cared for and spoiled in the manner to which they are accustomed. "Loved beyond Measure!" Raji is very social and affectionate and will capture your heart with his affectionate nature and those green Bengal eyes of his. One of the owner's daughters has shared this about him: "Raji, was so clingy and cuddly when my sister visited yesterday and was meowing super loudly when she left. Heartbreaking. I think he really misses my Mom, doesn't understand what happened, and needs people around more. He is not eating as much these days, but is so cuddly and sweet." Raji is harness and leash trained, loves to go for walks and spend time in the catio. This handsome guy is also perfectly happy to have a cozy warm spot in the house to relax and nap. He is very social, loves company, cuddles and is used to having his person(s) home most of the time. Gorgeous Lakshmi, is 2 years younger than Raji. She is a little 7 lb princess. She loves taking you in with her big luminous eyes, enjoys naps on soft blankets in the sunshine and receiving pets, loving attention from her owner and visitors of all ages. She is lovely with kids. These are healthy kitties, up to date on vaccines. We have all their vet records. They both eat canned and dry foods and use their litter box. We think they will do best as only pets in a quiet environment where someone is home most of the time. They are indoor cats that have access to an outdoor Catio enclosure. They've never been around dogs. Mac and Millie MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. Adoption Fee: $550 for the pair Every rescue of a kitty is a story. This story begins with a call from a cat loving shelter worker. She said we have a Bengal and a red tabby Domestic here who are so sweetly bonded together and I am afraid they will be separated. She sent a photo which you can see below. I said Hmmmm that looks like a Savannah cat to me. Then I noticed that the "red tabby" had a tail that matched unusual bandings of the other cat but in red. Curious. I Googled "Red Savannah" and found to my surprise that Savannahs also come in red. These cats, Millie and Mac, turned out to be chipped and from that we learned their names and ages and breeds - both are Savannahs. Their family could not keep them due to age and medical troubles. So how great we can keep these two best friends together. Millie at 2 is the younger one. She is the adventurer, the social director, friendly to all. Lean and svelte she is all muscle. Mac is 3 and quite a bit bigger. He is the poet and dreamer of the two. He is slower to trust new people. When he accepts you then he shows you his tender, gentle sweetness. We haven't had them long, only a month, and already he has decided to come out of his hiding cat bed so we can see what a great boy he is. These two are such an unusual pair. Savannah cats are not good apartment dwellers, they need space to play and climb. Their home needs to provide them with lots of stimulation and entertainment. Climbing trees and windows are great. They love hanging out in catios. Many can be harness trained. They are unusually loyal to their chosen humans and bond very deeply. They are as small and friendly as a house cat but still have some characteristics of their larger jungle ancestors. For the right home this relationship they offer is fascinating. Choosing a Savannah, like choosing a Bengal, is a life style choice. These are not sleep on the couch kitties. Their new family needs to be willing to adjust their lifestyle to their special kitties. These two are not interested in other cats. I have no idea how they would be with dogs except Millie would be in charge. Millie and Mac eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.They love Rotisserie chicken. Some family will be so lucky to have these young spotted beauties in their family.
