Story
TWO BROTHERS, found and rescued from a hoarder. Both were sick with runny noses, diarrhea, underweight and timid. They were sheltered, warmed, medically evaluated and treated, and given Science Hill diet for kittens. Their health improved as did their personality. They became playful, litter box trained, responsive to human touch and call. They gained weight, were neutered and vaccinated. They discovered outside play where they found butterflies, insects and trees. The TWO BROTHERS are very close and MUST be adopted together. We would like a responsible family to have these beautiful loving kitties. The family would also receive a NEW CAT TREE that belongs to them along with a TWO months supply of Science Hill diet and Revolution Flea and Parasite Treatment. These kitties will only be given to mature individuals who can offer a healthy lifestyle that affords both indoor and outdoor life. Ideally a home that has or can provide a cat door to allow them the freedom to move about.

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
She’s very friendly. She wandered just outside our apartment after her owners abandoned her when they moved. When she started meowing at our door we took her inside.  We were surprised to find she was already potty trained, and she started using her litter box immediately, and has not had any accidents in the house. We noticed as soon as she came inside that he seemed to have been attacked by another animal. This left a wound on her butt near the base of her tail. She’s completely healed from this issue. Any loving family would be lucky to call this cat a part of their own. She needs lots of love, attention and affection, and she’ll do just fine. She’s the type of cat that wants to spend most of her day with you, and cannot stand being alone. She also seems to be resistant to flea treatment and therefore needs an experienced adopter. She also loves to swat at dangling hair, which can lead to accidents, which is why I don’t recommend her for a family with rather small children.

Story
Minnie is a gorgeous, playful and young (around 2 years old) Bengal cat that loves climbing high places and playing in the backyard. She is good with other house cats and children. She was adopted from the Elk Grove Animal Shelter in June 2025 but due to personal and health reasons related to her previous owners, she has been put up for adoption. She is a sweet girl, who is not shy, with lots of energy, loves chasing her laser, exploring high places, and playing with the neighborhood kids. She would fit well in a home with a playful family and places for her to explore.

Story
I would love to introduce you to little Bella! A gorgeous classic black tabby with fur that will remind you of silk and picturesque green eyes and although we are unable to confirm her parentage, we see Bengal breed characteristics and think beautiful Bella is a Bengal mix. Coming into rescue, Bella was naturally very scared and shy. It’s a completely new world for her to be loved and cared for but slowly she has recognized that being loved is a good thing! This past month Bella has really started to come out of her shell and not only enjoys affection and attention but demands it! Her communication skills are spot on and enjoys a good conversation with you. Pets and brushing are among the things highest on her loves list and while shes not yet an official lap cat, she does like to be close to you. Bella is FIV+ and although FIV is a lifetime diagnosis, she can easily live a long normal life with a few minor adjustments. Cats with FIV must live indoors and can happily live with other indoor, non-aggressive cats. Regular vaccinations, and treatment for fleas, mites, and worms are also important, so a yearly checkup is crucial to this loving girl. She recently had a checkup with our veterinarian and noted no health concerns. We think Bella would do best in a calm quiet home as either an only cat or with another gentle non-aggressive kittyn. Bella is truly an amazing girl with so much to give to a loving family. Bella is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Bella please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Ellen at garyreason@gmail.com or 916-743-8324. If you are unable to reach Ellen please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
