Buck has been a good dog for our family but our schedules have become busier than ever and we cannot continue to give him the time he deserves. He also has high energy so a fenced yard for him to become an “outside” dog would be great for him, too! But he’s also good in a harness for long walks which helps his energy!

Story
Auggie is approximately 7–8 years old and has been with us for about a year. We rescued him from a home where he spent much of his time confined to a crate. He is a good-hearted, playful, high-energy dog who loves being active and does well playing with other dogs. Because of his past, Auggie has anxiety and takes medication to help manage it. He can be very vocal and reactive, especially when he has not had enough activity, and may bark or become uncomfortable with certain physical affection between people, such as hugging or kissing. We have worked with Auggie but have realized our home and lifestyle aren’t the right long-term fit for his needs. We believe he would thrive with an experienced, patient owner who can provide structure, training, plenty of exercise, and room to be active. A home with a large fenced yard, land, or compatible dogs would be ideal. Auggie isn’t a bad dog—he simply needs the right home to thrive. He is affectionate and loves attention and playtime.
