Leo is the sweetest, happiest boy with such a loving personality. He’s fully trained - knows sit, lay down, stay, and even “whisper.” He’s wonderful with other dogs and kids and truly just wants to play and be close to his people. He’s a St. Bernadoodle. His dad was a black merle Standard Poodle, and his mom was a St. Bernard / Bernese Mountain Dog / Poodle mix, giving him a beautiful look and gentle temperament. Leo has a partially torn ligament in his knee and needs surgery. I’m committed to helping pay for it and he is insured. Recovery is 8-12 weeks of limited activity plus simple at-home PT. I recently accepted a job in New York and don’t feel I can manage the move and his recovery properly. This is incredibly hard- he is truly an amazing dog who deserves the very best home. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I’m hoping to find someone who can give Leo the loving, steady home he deserves. He truly is an amazing boy and will give so much love in return.

While she may have started a little unsure like her sister, Cocoa decided pretty quickly that this “new life adventure” thing is actually kind of exciting. Leash walking? She nailed it almost immediately. Treats from your hand? Yes, please and thank you. Seeking out affection? Already on it. This girl is smart — the kind of smart that watches, processes, and then figures it out before you’ve finished explaining. She loves interaction and will happily trot over to see what you’re doing, offering those soft eyes and that fluffy doodle face that makes you forget what you were doing in the first place. Cocoa has shown absolutely zero aggression — not with food, not with people, not with other dogs. She shares politely and handles everything with a sweet, steady demeanor. She’s house trained, good with other dogs, and cats are currently unknown (slow introductions are always the golden rule). Because she’s still young and adjusting, older respectful kids would likely be the best fit. This 28-pound brown-and-white beauty is as sweet as her name suggests. Her mama looks just like a purebred Bernese Mountain Dog, and the breeder said the pups were Bernedoodles — which explains her soft, non-shedding coat and those “painted by an artist” good looks. Cinnamon is a little shy at first — think “fragile flower just starting to bloom” vibes —as she is already blossoming more and more every day. She happily lets us pet her all over, has shown absolutely zero signs of aggression, and recently discovered that treats are, in fact, one of life’s greatest inventions. That discovery has really boosted her enthusiasm for training. Funny how that works. 😉 She’s learning how to walk on a leash and is catching on quickly. Once she trusts you, she’s interactive, affectionate, and wonderfully sweet. The kind of dog who will bond deeply and become your quiet little shadow. Because she’s still building confidence, we think she’d do best in a home without very small children. Older, respectful kids should be just fine. She gets along well with other dogs, is house trained, and cats are currently an unknown (though slow introductions are always the key). Ella has seen & witnessed evil in life. She was pulled out of a slaughterhouse with several of our other rescues. Soul destroying to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything she has seen, heard & her previous life. We cannot even begin to imagine what Ella witnessed & heard when she was at the slaughterhouse. How Ella ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, she was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Ella & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Ella out, her fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Ella & her friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Ella is looking for a special family to cherish her & be patient with her & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all her needs. Ella was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Ella was bought back to the USA where she is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. We can’t stress how sweet Ella is. She will even put her paws on you for cuddles just as she cuddles into you while sleeping next to you. She is the happiest & vibrant little angel. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival in her foster home she taught herself to run up hardwood stairs & follow her foster mum. She will also sit in the kitchen & wait while her food is being made. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle soul her foster mum said with a very sweet personality. She will definitely let you know when she wants something & can stand on her hind legs & walk back & forward when she wants something too. She loves to run & play with her foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog who will play with her. She loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on her. Ella eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. She also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of her treats are homemade Ella has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. She would need continued work walking on her harness & leash. Ella is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Ella adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming her, baths, the hairdryer she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Ella & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far she has not started showing interest in toys in her foster home. Ella has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such an amazing, loving little lady. With Ella we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl. We are also looking for a forever home for Ella where someone is home during the day or Ella can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Did we mention this boy loves a good outfit too. Ella is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding. Ella has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings & will want to sleep in bed with you & she does in her current loving foster home. She will jump at the side of the bed to be picked up so she can get in. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Ella’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Ella is now roughly 8.3 lbs & 3 years old. She is spayed & possibly a yorkie poo & what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is microchipped, up to date on her shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Ella with bringing her to the US with her travel airfare paying for her medical care, including, shots, spay microchip etc, than her adoption fee comes close to covering. Ella has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Ella with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Ella was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Ella’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Ella potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Ella & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Ella who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Ella has an adoption fee of $850 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
