Meet Banjo, a Resilient Survivor Needing a Loving Home Banjo was found wandering the backroads between farmland in Southeast Missouri during freezing temperatures. A testament to his intelligence and determination, he managed to find his way to a foster temporary hold center and safety with Ms. Leslie. Despite efforts to locate his original family through found dog posts and inquiries at the local shelter, no one came forward to claim him. Consequently, Banjo went to the vet where he received vaccinations and was neutered. However, Banjo's journey to health is not yet complete; he was diagnosed as heartworm positive and urgently needs to begin treatment. Banjo is a sociable dog who gets along well with others and is a natural people pleaser at 60 pounds. His striking good looks and friendly demeanor make him an ideal companion. How You Can Help If you are able to open your home to Banjo as a foster, you will be giving him a lifeline and enabling us to start his heartworm treatment.
