Story
Hi, I’m Floki! I’ve been with my family since I was 4 months old, but because of reasons outside our control, they made the very hard decision to help me find a new home where I can get the time and stability I deserve.I’m a happy, affectionate guy who truly loves my people. I’m friendly with humans of all sizes and although I have never lived with other dogs, I get along with them during introductions. I’m a little too curious about cats, so no feline friends for me please!! One of my favorite things in the world is being outside! I have lots of energy and would really love a home with a securely fenced yard where I can explore, play, and soak up the fresh air. I am a little strong on a leash, so I could use some leash manners training, but I would make a great companion for neighborhood strolls and outdoor adventures. I’m fully house-trained and haven’t needed a crate in years.Because I’m a Bernedoodle, I do need regular professional grooming to keep my coat healthy and comfortable. My future family should be ready for the time and cost that comes with keeping me looking and feeling my best.If you’re looking for a loving, outdoorsy, loyal companion with a big heart (and big fluffy hugs!), I might just be your perfect match. I can’t wait to meet you! This is a Pay It Forward dog. This means the adoption donation of $700 will help to save another pup needing rescue and vetting. If you are interested in this dog, please complete an adoption application.Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation`s adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, Zelle, or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Coco is the sweetest of girls and is looking for her forever family. Watch video here https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1896V157zZ/ She is a little shy and prefers a calm environment. She loves other dogs and plays well with her 3 foster siblings. She loves a good game of chase, and she loves to chew on antlers and toys that squeak. Coco gets excited to go on car rides and is ready to go whenever you pick up the keys. She rides very well in the car. She has had some training and is great with 'sit' and 'down' and offering her paw. She is working on reinforcing the 'stay' and 'come' commands with her foster parents. She would do best with a fenced yard and supervision (at first anyhow). Her previous family reported a tendency to run off. Her foster family has seen no such behavior. Coco is housetrained and is a bit afraid of her crate - which is being worked on. She sleeps all night on her dog bed in the master bedroom. She is a cuddler and wants to be close to her people. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal companion, then Coco is the girl for you!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Hi, I’m Faith and I'm ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Faith Location: Chicago, IL Date of Birth: 01/17/2026 Gender: Female Breed: Newfoundland Mix Color: Fawn Dog's Weight: Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: We're working on it Crate/Kennel:  We're working on it Potty trained: We're working on it Car:  We're working on it Meet Faith Faith is a cautiously curious little puppy who is still learning about the world around her. She may be shy and a bit nervous at first, but with a little patience, gentle pets, and some playtime, she quickly begins to warm up. Once she feels safe and comfortable, her personality truly shines—she becomes a bouncy, playful girl who isn’t afraid to use her voice to join in the fun. New sounds and unfamiliar environments can make Faith unsure, and she’ll definitely let you know when she’s not thrilled about crate time. However, she’s a smart pup who will thrive with a consistent routine and patient guidance as she continues to adjust and grow. While she has an independent streak and isn’t overly snuggly, she absolutely loves belly rubs and attention on her terms. Faith would do wonderfully in a home with another confident dog. She really looks up to her foster sibling, gaining both comfort and courage from having a furry friend nearby. As a young puppy, she will need continued training, structure, and reassurance—but for someone willing to invest the time and consistency, Faith will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Hi, I’m Cleo and I'm ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Cleo Location: Cuba, IL Date of Birth: 01/17/2026 Gender: Female Breed: Newfoundland Mix Color: Black / Brown Dog's Weight: 24 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: We're working on it Crate/Kennel:  We're working on it Potty trained: We're working on it and making great progress Car:  We're working on it Meet Cloe Cleo is a fun-loving, playful puppy who brings joy wherever she goes! She loves toys, sticks, and anything she can carry around on her adventures. Like many puppies, she’s going through a chewing phase, so she’ll do best with plenty of appropriate toys and guidance as she continues to learn. Cleo is already doing pretty well on a leash, though she can get a little excited and pull at times—she’s just eager to explore the world! Cleo would thrive with an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and helping her grow into a well-mannered adult. She could be a great fit for a first-time giant breed owner who is ready to learn and stay consistent with her training needs. A home with access to water would be a dream for Cleo, as Newfoundland dogs are natural water lovers and she would absolutely enjoy opportunities to swim and play. While a fenced yard isn’t required, it would be a great bonus for safe playtime. With her happy personality and playful spirit, Cleo is truly a wonderful puppy who is ready to bring love, fun, and a little bit of mischief to her forever home! Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Hi, I’m Pip and I'm ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Pip Location: Mokena, IL Date of Birth: 01/17/2026 Gender: Male Breed: Newfoundland Mix Color: Black Dog's Weight: 36 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Learned to go up and down stairs and sits on command Potty Trained:  Almost completely potty trained Meet Pip Pip is a bright, playful, and high-energy pup who brings enthusiasm into everything he does. He loves to run, wrestle, and engage with other dogs, and he thrives in an active environment where he can stretch his legs and use his mind. Smart and eager to learn, Pip is a quick study who will do well with consistent guidance and positive reinforcement training. He is still in his “puppy brain” stage and will need help learning basic obedience, manners, and impulse control. With structure and patience, he has all the potential to grow into a well-mannered, well-rounded companion. Pip would do best with an adopter who understands or is excited about training a young, energetic dog. A first-time giant breed owner could be a good match as long as they are committed to training, exercise, and consistency. He would greatly benefit from an active household that can meet his daily exercise needs, whether through a securely fenced yard or regular long walks, hikes, and play sessions. He may also enjoy having another playful dog companion to help burn energy and support social learning, though this is not required if his exercise and enrichment needs are met in other ways. In the right home, Pip will reward his people with loyalty, joy, and a fun-loving personality that makes every day more exciting. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online.
