Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  JoJo is a gentle 4-year-old Bernedoodle with a heart full of love just waiting to be discovered. She came to Underdog as a breeder surrender and is still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. While she has some nervous energy and takes time to trust new people, and men especially, once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. When Jojo came, she did have allergies and chewed her feet a lot.  We have kept her allergies at bay by feeding her Carna4 brand dog food.  That, a raw food diet, or a cooked whole food diet should be committed to be continued to keep her in optimum health. This sweet girl is potty trained, is good on a leash and loves her daily walks, comes when called, and is eager to learn with plenty of positive encouragement. JoJo would thrive in a calm, patient home with an assertive dog to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She loves to play and has never met a dog that she instantly considers a new friend.  She would be happiest in a home with a dog 40+ pounds with whom she can race and play.  She is not the kind of pup who will rush into your arms right away, but with love, consistency, and kindness, she will reward you with a bond that runs deep.she binds closest with women, and while she does not need a fenced in yard, she must be leashed at all times. She does have an easier time adjusting to women versus men.  If you have the heart to offer JoJo the patience she needs, she’ll return it with unwavering love and the joy of watching her grow into her best self. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Ple ase use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Meet Todd! Todd, AKA Archie is the definition of a playful puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and love. He adores running around outside, playing fetch, and chasing after balls or rope toys. Here’s a cute video of Archie playing outside. When playtime winds down, he’s just as happy to curl up with you for some snuggles. Archie is working on his potty training and doing well with his kennel, though he’d prefer to be out where the action is. He’s great with other dogs and would thrive with a canine playmate, but he could also be happy as a single dog with an active family to keep him entertained. This handsome boy is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people. With his striking brown and blue eyes and irresistible puppy charm, Archie is sure to steal your heart. Archie is from a local impound. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*

Story
Hachi, a handsome boy who recently celebrated his 3rd birthday, is searching for his forever family! This sweet pup arrived with his previous owners as a young puppy and quickly bonded with his "person." Due to life changes and his love for a good chase game with cats, Hachi is now seeking a home where he can truly thrive. Having grown up with children of various ages and now enjoying the company of two teenagers in his foster home, Hachi is a proven family dog. He's also learned to play wonderfully with his foster siblings, a senior black lab and a young Pyr/Lab mix! Hachi is a dream indoors. He's fully potty trained and absolutely loves his kennel, which he considers his safe haven. He knows basic commands like "sit" and enjoys a good belly rub above all else. This snuggle bug is happy to be your gigantic lap dog, or simply lounge beside you on the sofa, as long as he’s getting some attention! He can be a little timid initially, but warms up quickly, eager to give kisses. Outdoors, Hachi shines! His previous family says he adores the snow, especially jumping into snow piles. He loves a good game of chase with older kids and would thrive in a home with a big yard to run and play. We're working on leash manners, but this smart boy will catch on fast! Hachi does have a sensitive stomach and does best on a consistent diet. If you’re looking for a devoted, playful, and snuggly companion who will fill your home with love (and maybe a little friendly jealousy for pets!), Hachi is your guy!
