She came to Underdog as a breeder surrender and is still learning how big and wonderful the world can be. While she has some nervous energy and takes time to trust new people, and men especially, once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate companion. When Jojo came, she did have allergies and chewed her feet a lot.  We have kept her allergies at bay by feeding her Carna4 brand dog food.  That, a raw food diet, or a cooked whole food diet should be committed to be continued to keep her in optimum health. This sweet girl is potty trained, is good on a leash and loves her daily walks, comes when called, and is eager to learn with plenty of positive encouragement. JoJo would thrive in a calm, patient home with an assertive dog to show her the ropes and help build her confidence. She loves to play and has never met a dog that she instantly considers a new friend.  She would be happiest in a home with a dog 40+ pounds with whom she can race and play.  She is not the kind of pup who will rush into your arms right away, but with love, consistency, and kindness, she will reward you with a bond that runs deep.she binds closest with women, and while she does not need a fenced in yard, she must be leashed at all times. She does have an easier time adjusting to women versus men.  If you have the heart to offer JoJo the patience she needs, she’ll return it with unwavering love and the joy of watching her grow into her best self. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Location: Rockford, MN My adorable face isn't even the best thing about me. I'm curious, cuddly, and have a very low key demeanor. I love following you around the house and playing with the resident kids and dogs. Frisco is kind of a puppy dream—snuggly, curious, and full of joyful puppy energy. I love curling up for cuddles just as much as I love exploring the world around me. I would stay outside all day if my foster family would let me! I'm doing great with potty training and learning more every day, eager to please and soaking it all in. I can hold it through the night in my crate! I love playing with kids and other dogs, and while I'm very curious about the family cat, I'm learning respectful boundaries. I love a good snack and food which will come in handy with training. Location: Lakeville, MN Meet Katy! Katy is an extremely affectionate girl whose favorite place to be is snuggled in right by your side. She’s a total cuddle bug and thrives on being around her people and other dogs. She loves a good chase around the room with her foster sister (a medium sized lab) and with her goofy personality and playful spirit, she will absolutely keep you smiling. In the short time we've had her, she's already mastered “sit” and we’re just about there with “down.” Potty training is in progress! After going from a litter of eight to being on her own in a new home, Katy is still gaining confidence when it comes to crate training and being alone, but she’s making progress.
