Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Delilah (AL), the dog who accidentally became a stuffed animal and is now looking for a forever home. Seriously. We have investigated extensively, and there is simply no other explanation. At just 9 weeks old, Delilah is quite possibly the cutest creature currently operating on Planet Earth. This fluffy, tri-color sweetheart, believed to be a Bernedoodle mix, looks less like a puppy and more like something that escaped from a luxury toy factory after realizing she was far too adorable to spend her life on a shelf. One look at her and you'll immediately start saying things like, "That's not real," and "Are we sure she's a dog?" and "Can I hold her forever?" These are all normal reactions. Delilah came to rescue after being surrendered by a breeder because she has the lowest possible grade heart murmur, a tiny 1/6 murmur that does not affect her in any way. Delilah did not get this memo, however, because she spends her days doing all the important puppy things: playing, snuggling, exploring, making friends, collecting admirers, and generally behaving as though she owns the world. And honestly? She kind of does. She loves people. She loves other dogs. She loves being loved. Her tail seems permanently set to "happy," and her life philosophy appears to be, "Every stranger is just a friend who hasn't told me I'm beautiful yet." Soft? Incredibly. Sweet? Beyond measure. Cute? Scientists are still trying to establish an upper limit. Delilah is the kind of puppy who turns quick walks into neighborhood events. The kind who makes people stop scrolling and stare. The kind who has family group chats demanding daily photo updates. The kind who will grow up knowing she was cherished from the very first day because that's simply the effect she has on everyone she meets. If you've been waiting for a sign that your life could use more joy, more laughter, more fluff, more puppy kisses, and approximately 1,000% more cuteness, this is it. But fair warning: once you meet Delilah, your camera storage, your heart, and your personal space may never recover. And you'll be perfectly happy about all three. Apply online to adopt Delilah (AL) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Delilah's adoption fee is $950.Please be sure to reference this pet's name as Delilah (AL) in case of duplicate names within the rescue.
