Story
Meet Laredo! Laredo is a five-year-old, 18 pound Mini Poodle mix. He is an incredibly sweet, loving boy with a wonderful personality.
One of the best parts of Laredo is the greeting he gives when you walk through the door! In pure excitement, he'll jump up to say hello and let you know just how happy he is to see you. He has the most beautiful, expressive eyes that perfectly reflect his gentle and loving nature.
Laredo is very affectionate and absolutely loves belly rubs. At bedtime, he'll happily jump onto the bed and rest his head next to yours because he enjoys being close to his people. He is the type of dog who forms a strong bond and simply wants to be near those he loves.
Laredo is housebroken and has been a wonderful guest in his foster home. He gets along well with other dogs and loves treats.
Having come from Tennessee, everything about Manhattan is new to Laredo. He is taking in all the sights, sounds, and excitement of city life one day at a time. With a little patience and encouragement, his confidence continues to grow as he discovers new adventures and learns that the big city isn't so scary after all.
While he doesn't know basic commands yet and is still learning to walk confidently on a leash, he is eager to please and will thrive with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will greet you with enthusiasm, cuddle up beside you, and be your devoted best friend, Laredo may be the perfect match for you.
Laredo is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. His adoption fee is $550.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal."
