Story
This friend has just arrived because their owner could no longer keep them. While owners can provide some history on their pets, our medical and behavioral teams will still evaluate them. Dogs that have lived in homes previously typically have some training established, but we cannot guarantee that those behaviors will remain consistent in a new home environment. They are pending interactions with other animals at the shelter until they have been cleared by our vet. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and we will update their bio with more information as we learn. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
We have 2 Bernese mountain dogs that work on the farm. They are super friendly, but they need lots of attention, we are trying to keep them in the fields but they don’t like it. They were trained for about 6 months but since we are only at the farm once a week, they are not getting enough attention and their training is not working since there is no one to continue it. They are lovely, sweet, and affectionate dogs that could possibly become indoor dogs with the right training. They have been outdoor dogs for their entire lives, and need space or frequent walks if they were to become indoor dogs. With some training and love they could become excellent companions. All we wish is for him to go into a loving home.

Story
Hello, my name is: GretaApprox. DOB: 04/08/2021Weight: 69.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Bernese Mountain DogRescued From: Breeding kennelMiss. Greta is as sweet as pie! While home life is still a little scary, she is making leaps and bounds every day in her confidence. When surrounded by her doggy pals she lets her guard down and bounces around with them, accepting their kisses and affection. While she is still nervous about normal things like going through doorways and approaching humans for attention, she’ll gently wag her tail and listen intently when her foster mom talks to her, telling her she’s a good girl. We can already see her potential slowly slipping through her timid exterior!! Greta is looking for a calm home with a fenced in yard and at least one other dog to show her the ropes. Training is a work in progress, but she is doing very well with her crate training. With time and patience, this gorgeous girl will thrive! Story
Lexi is an 8 year old spayed female bernadoodle who weighs 47 pounds. These dogs were surrendered to our care when their owner was having health issues and in turn, the animals were not being cared for. These are some of the sweetest dogs who just crave attention, have tested great with other dogs, were good for grooming and will be wonderful new additions. **HENLEY`S ADOPTION FEE IS FULLY SPONSORED**Hello, my name is: HenleyApprox. DOB: 7/26/2020Weight: 54.4 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain DogRescued From: Breeding kennelThe world of a house pet is brand new to Henley. In just a short time, she’s made some progress, but she’s still learning how to feel truly safe and comfortable as a beloved pet. Henley draws confidence and comfort from her canine foster sisters—watching them closely and following their lead—so she’ll need a calm home with at least one other friendly dog to help her continue to blossom. She’s still a bit tentative with people, but with patience and a soft approach, her trust is growing day by day. Henley is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and she’s starting to understand the daily routines. One of her favorite things is curling up in a cozy dog bed or quietly hanging out near her doggy pals. Henley needs a quiet, understanding environment where she can take her time and move at her own pace. With love and patience, she’ll become an incredibly loyal and loving addition to the right home!!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Henley and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
