Meet Spanky—yes, that really is his name, and it fits his big personality perfectly! This 2-year-old Bernese mix came to us after the heartbreaking loss of his owner, and while he had a rough start, he’s come a long way. Thanks to lots of TLC from our caretakers and medical team, Spanky is now feeling great and ready to start his next chapter.Spanky previously lived with his brother and sister, so he’s familiar with having canine companions and has been doing well in playgroup here. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely be happy with a playful friend or two. At this time, we’re unsure how he does with cats or children, so we recommend bringing the whole family in to meet him.Spanky is looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive and leave his past behind. If you’re ready to give a deserving pup a fresh start, Spanky might just be your perfect match!
