Story
I’ve had Callie since she was 8 weeks old. I originally got her in Vegas from a pet store. She is the sweetest but I just can’t give her as much attention anymore. She was recently diagnosed with diabetes and takes insulin shots twice a day. I can’t keep up with it since I’m back to work and I also have 2 kids that take up most of my time. She deserves to be with a family that is able to give her more love and attention. She loves to play and cuddle.

Story
Say hello to Henry! Henry is an approximately seven-year-old, 16-pound male Shih-Tzu mix, available for adoption in Phoenix Az at Chi Town Rescue. Sadly, this is not Henry's first go-round with looking for a forever family. Henry was adopted quite a few years ago from us, but recently turned up as a matted and dirty stray near a homeless shelter in Bisbee. We contacted his owner who said that she had given him to her brother and could not care for him anymore. One of our amazing volunteers took a road trip to Bisbee and brought Henry back to Chi Town Rescue, safe and ready to find a true forever this time around. Henry is a happy, fun, and friendly adult/senior dog. He is social with people and loves cuddle time and hugs. He is also social with other dogs and enjoys play-prancing and a little wrestle-time; bring your dog from home in to see if they will be buddies! Henry also enjoys squeaky toys, fetch, and walks (he walks great on leash). You may have noticed Henry's adorable underbite. We want to mention that per our clinic, Henry does not need a dental at this time; the coloring on his teeth is staining and not tartar. Henry is a great dog who has had the misfortune of finding himself without a home, through no fault of his own. If you've been looking for a mature but fun little dog and can commit to Henry forever, why not come meet him?! Henry's adoption fee includes vaccinations up to date including Rabies certificate, prior neuter surgery, and microchip. Email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment.  December 24, 2025, 10:33 pm

Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogInformation Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Oreo, and I am a beautiful Shih Tzu girl who was born 1/20/20, and I weigh 11 pounds. I am still a bit fearful of people, so would do best with a patient adopter as I learn to trust. I must have a fenced in yard and a sibling to play with and learn from.  If you have been waiting for a gorgeous Shih Tzu girl, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.
