Story
Please contact Constance (connibouchard@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Rescued dogon Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children, and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Mimi, and I am a sweet Shih Tzu girl who was born 7/31/17, and I weigh 14 pounds. I lived in a home with all of the windows covered all of my life until my dad passed away and my mom couldn’t take care of me anymore. I never felt the sun on my face or felt the grass under my feet. I must have an all-adult home with an adopter familiar with the needs of my breed. I have always lived with other dogs and get along well with everyone.  If you have been waiting for a sweet Shih Tzu, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Story
Meet Kiwi, a sweet and gentle 1 year-old Papillon mix who's looking for a second chance at a happy life. Rescued from a backyard hoarding situation, Kiwi’s early life experiences were limited, and she's had minimal human interaction. However, with the right family and environment, she's ready to blossom into a loving and playful companion. Kiwi’s ideal home would be one with at least one other active and friendly dog who can help her gain confidence in humans. With the guidance and companionship of a canine friend, Kiwi will slowly begin to trust her human family members. Once she feels comfortable, she'll shower her loved ones with affection, playfulness, and laughter. Kiwi’s forever home requires: - Patience and understanding as she builds trust with humans - No small children, to ensure a calm and gentle environment - At least one other active and friendly dog to serve as a companion and role model - A family committed to providing a stable and loving home If you're ready to provide Kiwi with the love, care, and patience she needs, she'll reward you with loyalty, affection, and joy. With time and gentle interactions, Kiwi will become a beloved member of your family.
