Story
Cabo is 10 years old as of July 2025. We adopted him as a puppy at 8 weeks through a dog adoption center in Fort Collins, CO. He has been an incredible dog over the years and so lovable and playful. He is around 13 pounds a mix between a Bichon and Poodle, so he does not shed. He LOVES his ball and loves to play catch with it. He also sleeps with it and carries it around the house wherever he goes. We have two girls and he has always been very protective of them and his family. He is great with the girls and very loving, however with guests, he doesnt know, it takes him a little while to warm up to them. With the girls having more and more playdates, its hard for us to bring Cabo around as he is very protective of his sisters. Hes never bitten and only barks, but it scared the other kids so we end up having to put him in a room while others are over.

Story
HIGHLIGHTS: -Requires another confident dog already established in the home- Meet Yasmin – A Gentle, Quiet Soul Looking for Comfort Yasmin is a 6-year-old Bichon Frise weighing 9.6 pounds, and she’s a soft-hearted little girl who prefers a peaceful, calm environment. She can be nervous and timid, especially around loud or sudden noises, and would thrive in a quiet home where she can feel safe and relaxed. Yasmin appreciates a slow, gentle approach and does best with kind handling and predictable routines. With time, patience, and lots of reassurance, Yasmin will begin to raise her head a little higher and show her sweet, tender personality. She is a lovely companion for someone who understands sensitive dogs and wants to give one a truly safe place to land. ---------- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

HIGHLIGHTS: -Requires another confident dog already established in the home- Meet Yalinda – A Sensitive Soul Who Needs a Gentle Home Yalinda is a 6-year-old Bichon Frise weighing 11.2 pounds, and she’s a quiet, tender-hearted girl who is learning to feel safe again. She is timid, nervous, and shy, especially in unfamiliar situations or around loud and sudden noises. Yalinda benefits from a calm environment and people who move slowly and speak softly. New experiences can feel overwhelming for her, so she does best when given time and space to adjust. With patience, consistency, and gentle care, Yalinda has the potential to gain confidence and begin to show her sweet nature. She would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands sensitive dogs and is willing to let her blossom at her own pace. ---------- Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Story
Cricket is a loving, sweet dog with a sometimes playful personality. She is 12 years old and has been having health issues. She has allergies that are best handled with quarterly allergy injections. She has a fungul infection that has been hard to get rid of even with bathing her in proper shampoos. She requires a good amount of attention. She is house trained but will have occasional accidents if left alone too long without going outside. We adopted her when more of our kids are at home. Our last two boys are busy in high school and we work. We have limited time to give to her and in addition she does require more attention due to some health issues. We do not have the time to properly care for her. It’s very hard to put her up for adoption but I know it is best. Will keep her as long as I need to until she can find a proper home.
