Story
*Jaden will need REGULAR PROFESSIONAL GROOMING for the entirety of his life. We will be preferring applicants who have experience owning dogs who need this.* Meet our very sweet senior boy named Jaden! Jaden is about 13.5 years old, and he was surrendered to our shelter after his owner could no longer keep him. Jaden is a very friendly guy who really enjoys getting attention and cuddling on the couch! We are told he is a mix of a Bichon Frise and a Poodle. Jaden will need regular professional grooming for the entirety of his life and this is an extra expense to think of before adopting him. Jaden absolutely loves other dogs and he is fine with cats as well. We recently had most of his teeth removed, and he is feeling like a new dog! He will likely have to eat soft food the rest of his life, but he loves it! He seems to be a bit hard of hearing, but he can hear the other dogs barking. We are told Jaden is pee pad trained and that sometimes, if a pad is not available he may have an accident in the house. We were told he has had some resource guarding issues with treats in the past, due to being teased with food when he was younger. Jaden is a really great little dog who deserves a great family! He can go to a home with children 12 years old and older who have experience with dogs. If you are interested in adopting Jaden Please Email us at Adopt@savingpawsct.org for an application! His adoption fee is $75.00. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL SPAM FOLDER! You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal. Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments. ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME. For more info please call 203-235-4179 (Always Leave A Message) or email adopt@savingpawsct.org
