Story
Meep is ready for adoption! This adorable senior is 13-14 years old and weighs 11 pounds. He was found as a stray in Providence and never claimed, so he joined our rescue in January. Meep is an incredibly sweet dog whose favorite thing in the world is being petted and held. Although he has limited vision and hearing, Meep can tell when someone is nearby. When he finds a person, he will wag his tail and wait for them to pet him. He is very friendly with the other dogs, but will sometimes bump into them due to his vision loss. Medically, Meep has a grade 1 heart murmur, a cyst on his jaw, and cataracts in both eyes. His bloodwork looks great, but he had some blood and protein in his urine. This could be an indication of early kidney disease and should be monitored. His teeth are in decent shape, so he did not require dental surgery while in our care. Meep is intact and may mark in a new environment. Vintage Pet Rescue will provide belly bands to assist during the transition to his new home. Meep is up-to-date on vaccines and recently had full bloodwork. If you're interested in adopting Meep, please apply at: https://www.vintagepetrescue.org/adopt

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charlie, a 17-pound Bichon Frise with a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience. Born around July 8, 2021, Charlie was tragically thrown over the fence onto our property late one freezing night, matted and terrified. Thankfully, a staff member of ours spotted him and ensured his safety.  Despite his rough start, Charlie has blossomed into an affectionate and gentle companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs until feeding time.  He has to be fed separately.  This is  very common for dogs that are left to fend for themselves.  They want to make sure they don't go hungry.  Charlie isn't a fan of cats, unless they come with crackers and a little bit of picante sauce.  So his idea home will not have a cat.  Charlie loves people.  Charlie’s sweet nature and resilience are sure to win your heart. Charlie’s adoption fee is $400, which includes his neuter, heartworm-negative test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Charlie is ready to be cherished as part of a loving family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet and snuggly boy, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. Charlie can’t wait to meet his forever family!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 3, 2026, 4:37 pm
