This 11-year-old Bichon Frise mix may be small at 8 pounds, but she has a gigantic personality. Penelope is a beautiful little lady with plenty of sass and charm. She’s incredibly sweet once she warms up to you, but she does have her triggers and will do best in a home without small children. Penelope would thrive in a home with a secure fenced yard and a family experienced with small dogs who know how to handle a little attitude. Once she trusts you, she’ll shower you with love - and maybe a little bossiness too! Penelope Lou currently weighs about 8lbs., is approximately 11 years old (est. birth date 02/01/2015), and her adoption fee is $85. Penelope Lou has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. He is in the process of learning how to play fetch still, but he is very vocal when he plays! He enjoys back scratches from anyone, that is the way to his heart! Loves to play with other dogs, and is housetrained. He is an affectionate boy waiting on his chance to show his family what unconditional love is! All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. Story
Kona is a 9-month old bichon and miniature poodle mix (poochon) that is very energetic and curious. He is basically full grown at under 20 lbs. He loves to play and run and loves meeting new people. We are looking to re-home as we travel a lot and aren’t giving him a stable living environment that he needs. Additionally we are expecting a grandchild which also takes away our focus and time. He is neutered, house-trained, current on all shots, and microchipped explaining the $500 fee as we’ve spent a lot more to purchase and want to ensure he goes to a very loving home that is serious about adopting.
