Story
Farley is a goofy, playful little guy who loves walks, food, and being close to his people. He loves to play, be silly, and keeps life entertaining with the cutest zoomies and energetic moments that are guaranteed to make you laugh. As he settles into foster life, he's learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and secure.
Farley forms strong bonds with his people and is incredibly affectionate once he feels comfortable. Like many dogs who haven't had the easiest start, he can be wary of new people and may need a little time and patience when meeting strangers. With proper slow introductions, treats, and guidance from his humans, he continues to make great progress and build confidence every day.
He’s crate trained, doing great with potty training, walks well on leash, and is very treat-motivated (which makes him highly trainable). Farley is continuing to work through some of his reactive tendencies and is making great strides with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.
He’d do best with an active family who will walk him daily, keep him engaged, and provide the structure, consistency, and affection he thrives on.
A fun, loving little companion with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and so much potential for the family willing to help him continue growing into his best self.
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
