Story
Cody is a very gentle, sweet and playful dog. He was mostly living outside and sadly his previous owners didn't take very good care of him. He was found running loose by a busy street in Detroit when our director saw him and was able to rescue him. Cody was able to lead her back to a house where he lived and his owner agreed to surrendered him. When we got him he was a mess with his coat so matted and long we had a bag full of fur after we trimmed him. Cody is a very happy fellow now that he is finally safe and being taken care of. He likes to run outside in the yard and play with the the small dog he is being fostered with. We were told he is 3 years old. Cody will make a wonderful addition to your family if given the chance.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tank and Teddy, a bonded pair of Bichon Frise senior brothers.  Their owner died turning their world upside down.  We want to keep the brothers together, so please don't apply to adopt just one. Tank and Teddy are described as friendly, 'couch potatoes' that are in good health, and look and act more like 10 y/o pups. Tank and Teddy are UTD on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are nine months old. Brodie has been neutered, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. He’s also microchipped. He weighs just under 12 pounds and is probably full grown now. Brodie is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. He needs a little practice on the leash and he’s making great progress on his house training. Brodie absolutely loves being held! He is a real snuggler! He would be fine with older children, and he loves his sisters so after proper intro he would like other 4 legged family members.
