Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. “Good morning America, how are you?” (Woody Guthrie)   Little Guthrie arrived at a local pound in pretty rough shape.  He was so badly matted that he had to be anesthetized to get shaved down.  It’s obvious that he did not have the best life before that, but that’s all changed for him now.     His age is a guess, based mostly on the really bad teeth he had when he got here.  It’s possible he’s younger, but there’s just no way to know.  He only has five left after his dental, btw, but that doesn't keep him from enjoying his meals and whatever treats might come his way!   His foster mom has been acclimating him to being crated while she’s gone.  He doesn’t care for it much, but he’s doing ok.  It would be great for him if his forever humans wouldn’t be gone for many hours at a stretch.     He also has a propensity to mark occasionally.  However, he’s currently in a foster home with three other dogs.  Though he gets along with them all just fine, he might not feel the need to do that if he were an only child.     Guthrie is a really good boy and really, really deserves a better life than he’s undoubtedly had in the past.  He’s smart.  When he understands what you want him to do, he will try his best to do it.  He’s very food-motivated, which is a huge plus for training!   Want a cuddle buddy when you’re on the couch watch g TV?  Guthrie’s your guy!  He’s very good-natured and easy-going.  Except for maybe when it comes to the critter-type trespassers.  He promises to protect your property from the threat of all squirrels, both foreign and domestic!   Guthrie would love a chance to be your boy.  He just need an adopter who has the patience and willingness to continue the training with his few things he still needs help with.   You can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application .   For those viewing on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal please click on More About Rose's Rescue, you may fill out adoption application from there. Story
Meet Elvis, an 8-year-old, approximately 16-pound Yorkie/Bichon mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people.  Elvis loves playing fetch with his spiky balls and will bring them right back until he’s worn out. He also enjoys walks, Nylabones, sunbathing, and long naps on the couch—especially if he can be curled up next to you. Belly and chest scratches are his favorite, and he’ll happily return the love with kisses. He is fully house trained, sleeps in his crate all night without potty breaks, and does well being home alone during a typical workday. Elvis goes outside on a leash and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He may bark at door knockers or the mailman, but settles quickly and is friendly. Elvis would do best in a home with adults only. Adoption is $250 which includes his spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, microchip and current monthly prevention. To fill out an application for this animal or a general application click HERE.All animals are up to date on age appropriate shots, microchipped and fixed.
