Hi! We’re Fozzie Bear and Princess Jasmine. We are a bonded pair that is looking for our forever home. Fozzie Bear is a Chihuahua mix and weighs about 15lbs. He loves sitting on laps and playing by running around the house. Princess Jasmine is a bichon mix that loves holding your hand and laying with you. They both love going for walks and don’t mind other pets. We sleep together at night in a comfy spot like a dog bed. We have been tested with dogs, cats, and kids and we are super well behaved! We do better in a pen or enclosed space but can be put in a crate if needed. We are potty trained but will need some time to adjust to a routine. Apply to adopt us today! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Guthrie is the sweetest little guy. He’s extremely laid back except for mealtimes and when he’s on squirrel patrol. We don’t know his history, only that when he arrived at a local pound he was in pretty rough shape. He was so badly matted that he had to be anesthetized to get shaved down. It’s obvious that he did not have the best life before that, but that’s all changed for him now. When he first arrived at his foster home, he marked his territory a lot. There are three other dogs there and I suppose he just wanted to communicate that he belonged here too. He’s over that now, but there’s a good chance that behavior could resurface for a bit if he goes to another home with other dogs. (He does get along with other dogs just fine, other than that.) Our little Guthrie also struggled with being in a cage while his foster mom was away. He finally grew to tolerate it, but would be stressful for him. So she decided to stop crating him and see how he did. He is doing great! He is perfectly behaved while foster mama isn’t home. We have him marked as “special needs” because we believe his hearing isn’t 100%. He’s nowhere near deaf, but sometimes you have to use your outside voice when trying to get his attention. Guthrie is a really good boy and really, really deserves a better life than he’s undoubtedly had in the past. He’s smart. When he understands what you want him to do, he will try his best to do it. He’s very food-motivated, which is a huge plus for training! And if you haven’t already noticed, he’s also very cute! Want a cuddle buddy when you’re on the couch watching TV? Guthrie’s your guy! It’s his favorite pastime. He’s very good-natured and easy-going. Except for maybe when it comes to the critter-type trespassers. Guthrie would love a chance to be your boy! This lovely Bichon girl came to DASH with 2 other Bichons after having lived her whole life in a shed. She was not socialized at all and very shy. she has been in a foster home now for almost 2 years and has come a long way, but is still a shy girl. She loves to be in the same room with her foster mom just chillin, or loves being outside in the fenced in back yard. She gets along with other dogs in the foster home, but isn't really a player with the dogs or toys. She likes her space and is content to be in a soft doggie bed or a crate, which she sees as her safe place. She is not a lap dog. She does allow her foster mom to pick her up to brush her and will allow pets when there is cheese involved. She does really well at the groomers as well. She just really needs her forever home to know she is still a work in progress, and will need continued patience as she learns that the world is not a big bad scary place and there are people who love her. This girl is so sweet and we have seen glimpses of a funny, loving doggo. She is ready for her forever and ever home.
