FEBUARY 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ERIN YEAGER and his 2 siblings (ARMIN ARLERT and LEVI ACKERMAN) had a rough life. They were brought into the shelter as tiny kittens. We rescued them and sent them to a foster. But she kept them for a long time and returned them unsocialized. They deserved a chance to be adopted. And this boy has come a long way. Meet ERIN YEAGER, the gentle giant with a heart as big as his fluffy Maine Coon exterior. True to his breed's "gentle giant" nature, ERIN YEAGER is a stunning boy who simply needs a patient, quiet home where she can take her time getting to know you. Though he can be a bit skittish and reserved at first, ERIN YEAGER's sweet, affectionate side shines through with a little time and understanding. His journey to trust is one that is incredibly rewarding. As he settles in, he'll slowly emerge from his shell, blossoming into a loving companion who adores gentle head scratches and soft pets. ERIN YEAGER's favorite quiet time activity is to sit on his person's feet, a subtle way of showing his affection and feeling close to you. He also lives for treats and sees them as the ultimate sign of friendship. If you are someone who enjoys quiet companionship and finds joy in small victories, watching ERIN YEAGER's confidence grow will be a truly magical experience. In a home with other feline friends, ERIN YEAGER truly thrives. He has a wonderful, friendly disposition with other cats and would love a confident cat companion to show him the ropes and help his feel more at ease. This big, beautiful boy is looking for a patient human who will give him the space he needs to feel safe, while cherishing the quiet moments of connection he offers in return. If you're ready to welcome a loyal, treat-loving Maine Coon into your life and provide him with the gentle, loving home he deserves, apply to meet ERIN YEAGER today. APRIL 2026 PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. A lady on Next Door reached out to our rescue partner and asked if she could help a kitten. She was found in a bush alone in Torrance, Ca. SHELL was feisty and so small. Meet SHELL, a reserved Diluted Calico Maine Coon from Torrance, California whose soft, pastel-toned fur reflects her gentle and quiet nature. With her long, fluffy coat that blends soft grays, creams, and whites, SHELL is a picture of elegance and grace. She may be shy at first, often preferring to observe her surroundings from a cozy, tucked-away spot, but with a little patience, she begins to open up in her own delicate way. SHELL has a refined personality and will allow pets—but only on her terms. She enjoys gentle head scratches and soft strokes when she's feeling comfortable, making her a true cat who values her independence. She’s skittish with sudden movements or new situations, but given time, her cautious curiosity will win out, and she’ll be quietly near, soaking up the calm energy of her environment. SHELL gets along well with other cats, blending into a multi-cat household without causing any fuss. Her mellow nature makes her unreactive to dogs, so she could live peacefully alongside a calm canine companion as long as they respect her space. While she’s never been around children, SHELL might do well in a quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace without too much hustle and bustle. Her Maine Coon heritage gives her a majestic look with a luxuriously thick coat and a large, regal presence. However, unlike the stereotypical social Maine Coon, SHELL leans into her more reserved, introverted side, making her the perfect match for a patient and understanding caregiver who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. Are you ready to provide a calm, loving home where this beautiful girl can thrive at her own pace? If you’re looking for a quiet, independent companion who will blossom with time, SHELL may just be the perfect addition to your family. SHELL is a DILUTED CALICO / MAINE COON MIX. She is about 5 years and 0 months old and is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats. She will probably do best with a very friendly, loving and non aggressive cat or 2. She has never been around children. We are not sure how she will do with dogs, but she is non-reactive. SHELL is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. NYLA HARPER her mom ANGELA LOPEZ and her siblings (LUCY CHEN-JOHN NOLAN-BAILEY NUNE) were saved from a horrible hoarding case in Rialto , California. The rescue that was fixing all the cats reached out for us to help ANGELA LOPEZ and her kittens. Meet NYLA HARPER: A Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold NYLA HARPER is a stunning Maine Coon tabby who has overcome more than most cats ever will. Rescued from a hoarding situation in Rialto, California, NYLA HARPER’s early life was filled with chaos and fear. But thanks to the love and patience of her rescuers, she is now on her way to a brighter future, and she’s ready for her forever home! At first, NYLA HARPER can be a bit shy and reserved, but don’t let her initial hesitation fool you—this sweet girl has so much love to give. She’s a big cat, both in size and heart, and she’ll need a family that understands her need for space and time to adjust. With gentle patience and a quiet environment, she will slowly blossom into the affectionate companion you’ve been looking for. NYLA HARPER gets along well with other cats and would benefit from having a friendly feline friend to help her feel more comfortable. A calm, confident kitty buddy could be just the thing to help her feel at ease and show her how to trust again. She’s already shown that she enjoys the company of other cats, and we believe that in the right setting, she will grow more and more social over time. Despite her shy nature, NYLA HARPER does have some favorite things that bring her joy—like catnip! This playful, yet gentle girl will appreciate a cozy spot to curl up and enjoy a little indulgence in her favorite herb. She also loves the feeling of security, and with the right amount of patience, she will reward her new family with the kind of love that only a cat like her can give. If you’re the kind of person who understands that patience is key, and you’re ready to give this big, beautiful girl the space and love she needs, NYLA HARPER could be the perfect addition to your family. She’s looking for a quiet, patient home that understands her past and is ready to help her build a happy future, step by step. NYLA HARPER may be a little shy at first, but with the right care, she’ll grow into the loving, loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. If you have room in your heart and your home for a special girl like Nyla, we’d love to help you make her part of your family. Adoption Requirements: *A patient, loving home *Preferably with one or more other cats (a super friendly cat friend would be ideal!) A calm environment with plenty of space for NYLA HARPER to adjust at her own pace If you think you can offer NYLA HARPER the peaceful, loving home she deserves, please reach out today!
