Story
Ralphie is a male dog. He is very sweet, although very hyper. He is a good boy. He weighs about 60 pounds. He is brown and black with beautiful long legs. He is very vocal. He loves walks and play time. He loves his toys as well. He prefers stuffed toys bout the rubber toys work better because he destroys the stuffed ones fairly easy and soon. He desires his very own special family with less animals so he can have more attention on him. He craves people time and lots of affection. He rides well in the vehicle. He's very eager to please. He's very trainable if he has someone to work with him on a regular basis. He needs to be worked with on potty training. He walks on a leash but is still in the early stages of learning not to pull and walk the walker. He gets along with other animals, dogs and cats, but he does need time to warm up to them before they are just turned loose together. I would suggest slow, short introductions to start with and go from there. He has has all his vaccinations and is heart worm negative. He is on monthly heart worm prevention. He has been microchipped so if he were to get away from you, you will have a better of chance finding him. He is neutered. He is roughly 2 to 3 years old. He loves kids, but I would suggest older kids due to his young age and overly hyper tendencies. He loves to jump high and run. It would be great if he could have an area to run and play with his family so he doesn't have to worry about getting away or having any accidents. A fence of some sort would be ideal. He is food aggressive. I believe he had been deprived of food in the past and that is why he is this way. I do believe he can be worked with on this and in time it will cease. In my opinion, he just needs to know he doesn't have to fight for his food and his food is available when he is hungry. Other than that, I have never heard him growl or show unhappiness. If interested in adopting me contact bakerbridgerescue@aol.com. We transport every other week via Rescue Riders Transport to a location near you. We have the most animal friendly transport ever. Thank you for considering us and me.

COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Melody. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Looking for a furry friend who embodies the spirit of adventure? Meet Melody, the adorable and spirited Transylvanian Hound (or maybe a Black and Tan Coonhound) looking for her forever home! At 3 years old and 60 lbs, Melody is bursting with energy, intelligence, and love. She's searching for a family who understands hound traits and can provide her with the active and engaging lifestyle she craves. Melody is a clever girl who loves playing games, especially searching for hidden toys. She already knows the command "sit" and will impress you with her obedience. When it's time to unwind, she's happy to relax with her finding the squeaker in her plush toys, keeping herself entertained. With her energy, Melody is the perfect companion for outdoor adventures and long walks. She adores being outside and will accompany you on every exploration. While she enjoys her high-energy activities, she can also settle down and cuddle up, ready for some quality time on the couch. Melody has great house manners and is nearly potty trained. She also sleeps soundly in her crate, making bedtime a breeze. Car rides are a joy for her, and she'll eagerly join you. While Melody is not a fan of cats due to her prey drive, she has had positive interactions with some dogs when introduced slowly. She loves children and is friendly with strangers, showing her affectionate nature to everyone she meets. As a hound, Melody is strong on the leash. She requires an owner who can handle her strength and provide the guidance she needs. Melody thrives as the only dog in the home, allowing her to fully relax and bask in all the attention she deserves. If you've experienced the joys of owning a hound before, you'll understand the unique needs and traits that make Melody shine. She's ready to bring her zest for life and infectious happiness into your home. Don't miss out on the opportunity to share your adventures with this special hound dog! Meet this dog at Dogapalooza on Saturday, Sept 23rd from 10 am - 2 pm CST at Cane Creek Park, 201 C C Camp Rd. Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. September 22, 2023, 6:26 pm

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.9/3/23 Why does Buster look so sad? I think it’s because he knows nobody has asked about him or applied for him. It makes us sad too. He’s a sweet boy who deserves a home of his own. He is approaching the 6-12 month old range which is a VERY unpopular age for adopters. 6-12 months olds are always overlooked. Please share Buster!! He is good with other dogs and cats. We believe he is a hound mix who was born in rescue on 3/14/23. His little mama was a homeless, scared stray who had to be trapped and had her babies within a few days of getting to her foster home. Mama is an average size dog (about 40lbs) who is very mixed. He will likely be larger than his mom. We expect he will be at least 60 lbs when grown. Buster is a sweet baby. He is a little bit shy like his mama, but he loves to be held and cuddled and he responds to kindness quickly. He is just good little mixed breed baby who needs a home of his own. He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in the northeast. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $125-$140 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. For more info regarding adopting, email apps.aasr@gmail.com. Thank you for considering one of our rescue babies! September 18, 2023, 10:16 pm

Story
I am 20 weeks old! My mom is a Scruffy Terrier mix and dad was a Black and Tan Coonhound mix. I am a fun loving happy go lucky hound pup! I am currently in a home with other foster dogs and a cat. I am very well socialized with all sizes of dogs. I do great with crate training, but my fosters use a Xpen so that I can be with my siblings. I do well with potty training, but I will have to be reminded about it all in a new home. I love playing with other dogs and don't get too rough when I do. I would love a home with lots of room to run or lots of activity. Right now, he is being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring him to their new family, once they are adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information.
