You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. House Sparks, Reba, and Mel, three precious souls were rescued from a neglected, boarded-up house where they were trapped in darkness, left unseen and unloved, yet strangely still fed by their owners. These three puppies out of approximately 100 have found their way into our rescue, but now they deserve so much more — a loving home where they can finally discover what genuine care and compassion truly mean.  Because their world has been so limited and unfamiliar, they need a home with older children or adults who can give them the patience, security, and tenderness they desperately crave. These dogs have so much love to give—please consider opening your heart and helping them heal and thrive. Mel is up to date on vaccines and has been treated for puppy/kitten parasites. Wag On Inn will arrange for spay/neuter and microchip as soon as possible at The Spay and Neuter Center of New Jersey in Holmdel. Adopters must live within driving distance of Holmdel, NJ. Mel's adoption fee is $300.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training  prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
Misty is a beautiful and intelligent 8-month-old pup who was born in April 2025 and adopted by us in August through a Craigslist ad. She is an absolute cuddle bug who loves to nap, run, play with her toys, and sniff around wherever she goes. She was originally described to us as a small breed, but she kept growing and now seems to be some kind of Coonhound, Pointer, or Beagle mix — though we aren’t entirely sure. Misty is incredibly smart and picks up on training very quickly, but she truly thrives with a consistent and structured routine. While we love her deeply and have done our absolute best, we were unprepared for a large breed and know that she deserves a home where she can get the time, attention, and physical activity that she needs. We’re looking for a home that can offer her a backyard or consistent outdoor playtime, along with someone who is active and able to keep up with her high energy. Our goal is to find her a loving, stable home where she can truly flourish and grow.
