Story
Meet Minnie Mae — the sweetest adventure buddy you’ll ever meet. This 2‑year‑old black and tan coonhound was rescued from euthanasia at a Tennessee shelter and has been thriving in a temporary foster home. Now she’s ready for the forever family she truly deserves. Minnie Mae is 50 lbs of energy, curiosity, and love. She’s extremely active, strong, and happiest when she’s exploring, running, or playing with toys. Because she doesn’t currently have a fenced yard, she hasn’t been able to stretch her legs the way she needs — and she can be reactive when other dogs walk by. A secure fenced yard and an active household will make all the difference for her. She also loves going on car rides. Despite her high energy, Minnie Mae is a total sweetheart. She adores people, loves attention, and happily settles in for nighttime snuggles. During the day, she thrives when kept busy with enrichment, outdoor adventures, or anything that engages her hound brain. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready to travel to her new home. If you’d like to meet this incredible girl, please contact Julie at 919‑624‑0059 or julie@arcadiarescue.org. Transport is available.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sabrina is a sweet girl who is looking for a fresh start. She's currently with one of our partner rescues in Louisiana and can come to NJ with an approved foster or adopter.  Foster-to Adopt is available to ensure we have the perfect match.   Meet Sabrina — a sweet, long-legged girl with a gentle heart, a smart little mind, and so much love waiting to blossom in the right home.  Sabrina and her brother, Sora, were both on the euthanasia list at a shelter in Louisiana before they were pulled to safety by one of our amazing rescue partners. Now Sabrina is learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family—and she is doing beautifully.   Compared with her more outgoing brother, Sabrina is a little more docile and submissive. She may take a moment to settle in, but once she feels comfortable, her playful puppy side shines through. She has those gorgeous long legs and is expected to grow into a tall, large girl, so she will need a home ready to welcome a big dog with an even bigger heart. Sabrina is already making wonderful progress: • She is nearly fully kennel-trained and having fewer accidents every day • She is highly motivated by treats and food, making her a wonderful student • She is smart, eager to learn, and catching on quickly to home life • She loves the chance to move, explore, and stretch those long legs • She is learning how to play more gently with smaller adult dogs Like many young dogs, Sabrina can get a little bouncy when she is excited. The smaller dogs in her foster home are helping her understand that not everyone appreciates enthusiastic puppy energy—but she is being gently corrected and is learning to be more polite every day. Sabrina would thrive with a patient family who can continue her training, give her structure and encouragement, and provide room for her to gallop, sniff, explore, and simply enjoy being a dog. She has come so far already, and we know her best days are still ahead. Could Sabrina be the sweet, silly, smart girl your family has been waiting for?    Sabrina is fixed, micro-chipped, and up to date on her puppy vaccines. Her adoption donation is $6 00.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 14, 2026, 9:58 am

Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, NJ from 11am - 3pm! Meet Copper! Copper is a 3 month old, 9 pound coonhound mix puppy who is sweet as can be! Copper is very affectionate and is happiest laying in the lap of his favorite people. He plays gently with the children in his foster home, enjoying a game of tug or chasing a ball that they throw for him. He has quite the appetite and will be happy to work for a treat! He is working hard on weewee pad training until he is old enough to go for walks. He will whine for a short time if left alone but settles quickly and sleeps in his crate quietly overnight with his littermate who he is being fostered with. These days he is enjoying playtime and snuggles with his foster family, wrestling with his brother, chewing on bully sticks, playing with toys and waiting patiently for a forever family to call his own! Copper is being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $550. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
