Hey all, Ruthie here. I have been trying for such a long time to find my forever home. I really don't understand why I haven't. I think I'm around 3 yrs old so really a perfect age. My foster mom did this picture compare app on the computer and based on my picture, it said I'm some breed called a Entlebucher Mountain Dog! I don't know about that but it was kind of fun to see.  I'm already trained...ooh...let me tell you just how trained I am! I went to a place that had big walls and lots of people to meet and learned all kinds of commands. I think they called it Dick Conner Correctional Center and something called the STAR Inmate Training Program. I got so good that I didn't even need a leash with my trainer person, I just hung out with him all the time. It was so much fun! Even passed my test at the top of the class if I do say so myself! I was kind of sad when I left because I had so many friends there. My foster mom said that I am such a good girl that she doesn't understand why I haven't had tons of people wanting me. She said I am the most loyal, playful, people dog she has ever seen. That is true that I always want to be with my people, always! I love meeting new people and going places. According to my foster mom and the guys at the prison program, I have so many great qualities. The only thing that might be holding me back is that I need to be an only dog but let me explain why. I don't get angry with other dogs. I can go places and be around them. But I learned how to play super hard when I was young, maybe as a survival tool, and it's just too much for other dogs. I'm totally ok being with my people, in fact, I prefer it. I really would make someone a great companion dog. This is Jake. He is a fantastic dog who is loved by everyone he meets! He is friendly and loving and very happy to have been rescued from an outdoor pen where he spent 4 years of his life. Jake has swiftly become a favorite among everyone he encounters. Despite his challenging history, he is as sweet as can be. He is incredibly affectionate and adores any kind of attention. Jake delights in the outdoors, relishing in rolling around in the grass and basking in the sun. With a personality that's larger than life, we are confident his forever home is waiting out there! He appears to get along well with other dogs, but gets too excited about cats. This animal has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Now, he is prepared for his forever home!

Tod is the prettiest Foxhound I have ever seen, but he takes the worst pictures! I just haven't been able to get good ones yet. This handsome man is about 3 years old, and was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Virginia. He is EXCELLENT with other dogs and would really benefit from having a playmate. He is learning the ways of what it is like to be an indoor pet. He is currently more comfortable resting on a blanket on the floor but I am trying to show him the soft dog beds are available as well, or even the sofa! He is a quick learner and I am sure he will catch on soon. He is a bid timid but all in all he is a happy healthy dog that will make a great companion for someone who is willing to work with him and help him gain some confidence. Until then, he is doing just fine with us. We ❤ him!! This animal has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Now, he is prepared for his forever home!
