Shia is a 5 1/2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound weighing around 70 pounds and ready to steal your heart (and maybe a snack or two)! This handsome hound is full of personalityâ&#194&#128&#194&#148intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please. Shia absolutely loves other dogs and even gets along with cats! He thrives in environments with structure and consistency and has done well in both home settings and doggy daycare. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s housebroken, crate trained, and has been professionally trained to help him shine his brightest. He would do best in an adult-only home or one without small children. While incredibly friendly, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s still learning personal space with kiddos and needs a calm, patient environment where his boundariesâ&#194&#128&#194&#148especially around food and sleepâ&#194&#128&#194&#148are respected. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s made great progress with training and just needs a family who understands and continues the consistency he's benefited from. Shia is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on prevention. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a goofy, loving boy who wants nothing more than to be your loyal sidekick. Archie is a handsome tricolored Coonhound/German Hunt Terrier that weighs 45lbs and arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/18 as a stray. He has a shiny coat and looks like he’s been well taken care of. He has the right mix of exuberant and yet gentle behavior. A few times, I actually caught him smiling. At times he’s playful and tries to entice you to play. He exudes joy! He’s athletic and climbed on our play equipment. He sits for treats and takes them gently. He’s well behaved and definitely wants to please. He comes to you when you call him and loves to have his ears stroked. He walks well on a leash. He did his business immediately in the yard. A pile of blankets or his own bed would be a bonus to be indoors and cuddly close with his family.

He is a 9 mo old American foxhound/beagle mix that weighs 48lbs. She arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 11/13. She exudes joy and is a wigglebutt and loves treats! She’s highly motivated by them so should be easy to train. She sits for treats and takes them gently. She’s friendly, alert, and affectionate. She gives kisses. The adjective that describes her best is DELIGHTFUL! She would need a play yard and then soft blankets inside the house to snuggle up in. Come meet her!
