Story
Goose is about 4-5yrs old. We originally adopted him from a shelter when he was 9 months old. He is very smart. Is crate trained, uses a lead leash for walks, and potty trained. He loves attention and sit near you but will go lay down somewhere else if told. His fur is soft and only sheds a little. He is such a loving dog but is afraid of young kids. We are hoping to find him a good home as soon as possible as we are about to have our second baby. We will provide his crate for free, leash and harness for walks, dog bowls, etc. Please take our sweet Goose and give him the love he deserves.

Story
This is Maple. I adopted him almost a year ago from the shelter. Since then I’ve had some sudden housing changes. I was initially almost able to stay where I’m at but now I’m having to move and am going to have increased costs for rent and utilities. Additionally I’m going to be the only one to take care of him and I work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week so I don’t have as much time or help to take care of him, plus losing some of my ability to pay for the vet. For all these reasons I’m hoping to quickly find him a home. I’ve been looking for a couple months since the possibility of having to move first came up but nobody has committed despite some interest. He is a great companion dog, very mellow but still is playful. He came out of his shell a lot since I’ve had him. He can still be skittish and nervous especially at first but given time he will warm up. He is a couch potato and doesn’t care for walks as he gets anxious so he’s content hanging around the house or backyard for a bit.

Story
Mesquite trees are an integral part of the desert ecosystem here in southern Arizona, providing homes for a myriad of wildlife and providing mesquite pods, which have been used as a food source for humans and animals alike for millennia. Just as the Tucson desert wouldn’t be the same without the mesquite tree, we don’t think a house is a home without a dog. And we happen to think that our pup Mesquite could be an integral member of your family!Mesquite recently enjoyed a day trip with a community member, who described him as a gentle, quiet lovebug:“Mesquite was nervous when he first got into the car, but his stress was relieved with a pup cup! He was gentle and made zero mess while enjoying it. He loved people and resting his head on them (arms, legs, whatever) when receiving attention. After a mile long walk he was tired, but not tired enough not to play with a toy! He threw it around, chased it, and learned where the squeaker was. On our walk he NEVER pulled, staying right at his human`s leg or a bit behind. Once comfortable, he relaxed and took a nice nap on the grass, using a person for a pillow. Mesquite is an AMAZING dog. Calm when needed and fun and playful when he wants. He is a bit of a Velcro dog and loves to be near the people he has chosen. Never have I seen a dog take treats as gently as Mesquite. We had no accidents and he kept his `potty spot` in one part of the yard.”Mesquite shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been social, tolerant and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. If gentle, responsive, sweet and affectionate are on your “perfect dog” Wishlist, look no further than Mesquite!
