Story
Marzipan is a wonderful young girl! Friendly with and has been exposed to: kids, other dogs big & small, horses, goats, pigs, chickens, and more. :) She thrives on praise and physical attention, and does well even with younger kids doing training. She is a dog who enjoys being close to her people, and snuggling. Marzipan is quite well behaved, has had leash training, and follows directions well - she will make a wonderful addition to the family, and would do great as an adventure companion as well!

Story
We adopted Daisy from the SD Humane Society. Daisy was in the shelter for nearly two years prior to us adopting her. Daisy is AMAZING outside of the house with other dogs; she plays well with dogs and is not leash reactive but unfortunately our other dog is not getting along with Daisy. We believe Daisy would do best as the only dog in the household. She may do well with another large dog in the home depending on the circumstances and personality of the other dog. She is 3.5 years old and is VERY eager to please, which has made training a breeze. We adopted Daisy knowing she had some behavioral issues (like poor impulse control, mouthing when overly excited which resulted in a bite to a shelter volunteer, and in general high arousal levels). We have seen great progress with Daisy, however, since bringing her home from the shelter. I am confident that an experienced owner who is willing to continue training Daisy will be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion.

Story
Lana is a Black Mouth Cur, a possible mix but unknown. We adopted her a year ago from a rescue, she was rescued from a shelter with her siblings. She is a wonderful young dog with a quiet and sweet disposition, she rarely ever barks; only if someone is at the door she doesn't know. Quite submissive. She enjoys long walks/hikes, areas to run, lounging in the sun, and playing with dog friends at doggie daycare. She is content with lounging during the day until her next walk. She has trained a bit to be off-leash. She knows some basic commands. She is wonderful with kids (we have a toddler and 8 year old she is very careful with). She is a large dog at 65 lbs and would do best with a large yard or access to a place for daily exercise.
