Story
Meet the Holly pups! They had a rough start to life, being born in a rural shelter on a concrete floor. We were able to get there within hours of their birth and get them into a foster, where they have thrived! Mama Holly is as sweet as can be, and is known for loving to play dress up! She has a lot of sass! Their dad was with Holly when she was found, and was a Mountain Cur. The puppies have pretty much all taken after dad, and have a rainbow of coloring! The puppies will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption, have their first set of shots, and be dewormed. They will be ready to go around Thanksgiving- perfect timing to bring the holiday spirit into your home! Adoption application is on www.mysaltydog.com.

Story
Meet Twinkle, the 1.5-year-old, 43-pound sparkler who’s ready to light up your life! This shy and sweet girl is ready to leave her traumatic past behind her and find her forever human to show her what love, patience and kindness is. Twinkle is incredibly sweet with people she trusts, always ready to shower you with affection and brighten your day. Sweet Twinkle has been living with our dog trainer since September 1, 2025. She's crate trained, walks politely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car and LOVES other dogs! She's discovered that living inside is wonderful and has enjoyed living in a family environment (rather than outside or in a crowded kennel). She's also found that toys are super fun to play with! Twinkle was rescued from life on a heavy chain, living outside without access to food, water or reasonable shelter. Her previous owner was arrested on animal cruelty charges. Although we don't know for sure what Twinkle endured we do know that she'll need her new owner to understand that she'll take a little time to get used to her new home and be patient with her.

Story
LONGEST RESIDENT!  Hi! I'm Mustard. I don't know how much you know about Florida curs - but 2/3 of every litter of true Florida Cur Dogs are born with a bobbed tail, just like mine! People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but is A LOT of dog and needs firm boundaries or he plays too rough, for this reason we are recommedning him to an adult only home with handlers who are physically strong and set good boundaries.  Adoption fee REDUCED $50, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Adoptions are by appointment, please fill out an application so we can get to know you better. ##1518452##

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Sweet Ernie is a 1 1/2-year-old, 40lb. black mouth cur pup who had a scary start to life. He was surrendered to the shelter at 12 weeks old with the rest of his litter. As all of his litter mates got adopted, no one chose him so he sat alone in the shelter for months deteriorating mentally. Due to this lack of socialization early in life, he is extremely fearful. Ernie needs other dogs to thrive and would do well in a home that has consistent structure and other dogs to teach him how to dog. He is fearful of humans and takes time to trust, but when he does - he is very cute and will boop you with his nose. He is currently attending and socializing in doggy daycare, where he’s coming out of his shell and enjoying play with other dogs his size and larger. He needs other dogs in the home to feel safe . Ernie is crate trained, (mostly) potty trained, does amazing with dogs his size or larger. No cats, and no small dogs please. He sleeps well through the night in his crate, and enjoys the comfort of his crate. He is a healthy young puppy who loves to play with other dogs and toys, such as ropes and squeakies. Once comfortable, he really is the sweetest boy ever! He will need a dedicated family with no very young children (they scare him easily) that will give him a consistent schedule and time to adjust. You will be rewarded in full by his beautiful, silly soul that so desperately just wants to belong. We are requiring a fenced yard for him. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Ernie, please complete an app and tell us more about you.
