Story
Meet Twinkle, the 1.5-year-old, 43-pound sparkler who’s ready to light up your life! This shy and sweet girl is ready to leave her traumatic past behind her and find her forever human to show her what love, patience and kindness is. Twinkle is incredibly sweet with people she trusts, always ready to shower you with affection and brighten your day. Sweet Twinkle has been living with our dog trainer since September 1, 2025. She's crate trained, walks politely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car and LOVES other dogs! She's discovered that living inside is wonderful and has enjoyed living in a family environment (rather than outside or in a crowded kennel). She's also found that toys are super fun to play with! Twinkle was rescued from life on a heavy chain, living outside without access to food, water or reasonable shelter. Her previous owner was arrested on animal cruelty charges. Although we don't know for sure what Twinkle endured we do know that she'll need her new owner to understand that she'll take a little time to get used to her new home and be patient with her.

Story
Hi friends, I’m Molly – your soon-to-be best girl with the happiest heart!Life didn’t start off too great for me. I was given up because I wasn’t cut out to be a hunting dog, but thankfully a kind soul rescued me and brought me to H.A.L.O. Since then, I’ve been on a journey of healing. I tested positive for heartworms when I arrived, but I’ve finished all my treatments like a champ. The best news? I’m finally done with the quiet part of recovery—now I get to run, zoom, and do my funny little gallop that makes everyone laugh and smile!I’m a total lovebug who adores people big and small. I’ve been temperament tested and do wonderfully with cats and other dogs too. Basically, I think everyone should be my friend!Right now, I’m listed as foster-to-adopt since I still need to be spayed and will have a heartworm re-test at my 6-month checkup (which H.A.L.O. will take care of). That just means you can start loving me now while they make sure I’m all set to be healthy for life.If you’re looking for the sweetest girl in the whole wide world (I heard that’s what everyone here calls me), then I’m your match. Come meet me—I can’t wait to start my forever with you! ❤️🐾Requirements: Martingale Collar; Foster-To-Adopt (Heartworm Re-Test & Spay)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
Hi there! My name is Watson 🐾I came to H.A.L.O. from the Bahamas as a puppy and thought I had found my forever home, but after several years I was recently returned when my adopters began working long hours and couldn’t spend as much time with me. I’m hopeful my true forever family is still out there.I’m a happy, affectionate guy who loves to run, be chased, and play with Lamb Chop toys. I know how to sit, love giving kisses, and when I get really excited—I dance (and yes, I smile a lot!). I aim to please and love being right where my people are, especially if you’re cooking and need a taste-tester.I enjoy car rides, swimming in pools, and I’m bell-trained for going outside. I thrive on routine and will do almost anything for salmon treats (duck is a close second).A few things to know about me: thunder and rainstorms scare me, jumping down from high places can be a little daunting, and I may be shy at first with dogs bigger than me. I’m also nervous about nail trims, but I’m very gentle and would never bite.I was recently diagnosed with a collapsing trachea, which means pressure on my neck can be uncomfortable and cause coughing. Because of that, I do best being walked on a harness instead of a collar—an easy adjustment that keeps me comfortable.I have so much love to give, and any family would be lucky to have me. I can’t wait to meet you! 💙Requirements: Martingale Collar; Harness Only (Due To Collapsing Trachea)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
LONGEST RESIDENT!  Hi! I'm Mustard. I don't know how much you know about Florida curs - but 2/3 of every litter of true Florida Cur Dogs are born with a bobbed tail, just like mine! People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but is A LOT of dog and needs firm boundaries or he plays too rough, for this reason we are recommedning him to an adult only home with handlers who are physically strong and set good boundaries.  Adoption fee REDUCED $50, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Adoptions are by appointment, please fill out an application so we can get to know you better. ##1518452##
