June is an ADORABLE Pittie/Black Mouth Cur mix weighing in around 42 pounds at about 2.5 years old! Have you ever seen ears as cute as hers? Her foster parents call them the "wind shield wipers" because they are just SO CUTE! Additionally, she comes up right to around knee height making her the PERFECT size for any family! This sweet baby is a quiet, gentle girl who has blossomed into a confident and affectionate! While she can sometimes still be shy and bashful in new settings, June has come leaps and bounds and has even gone to adoption events and met lots of new people and other dogs and did AMAZING (she even shared toys and treats with a puppy friend)! June is potty trained (with occasional accidents, usually once every few days) and can be crated if needed, though she prefers lounging on a couch or chair! June is still a little shy around new people, but once she warms up, she LOVES cuddles, playing fetch, and spending quality time with her favorite humans! She enjoys walks around the block, and you might even find her happily jogging by your side once she’s comfortable!
June does best in a home with another playful dog — having a canine friend has helped her open up, play more, and find her happy side! She enjoys tug-of-war and has no food, toy, or water aggression towards people or other dogs AND respects boundaries of others making her the PERFECT addition to any household with another furbaby (she has never met a dog she doesn't love)! She is also not reactive towards other dogs making her a PERFECT walking companion! June tends to forget cats are as small as they are and will play try to play with them/mouth them so a home without kitties is probably a better match! Additionally, June would do best with children 7 and older who understand her need for patience and gentle interaction!
While it might take a second for June to warm up, once she does, she is a loyal, gentle, and affectionate companion who will shower her family with love, enjoy cuddles and playtime, and bring calm, steady joy to any home! She thrives with patience, consistency, and a loving environment, making her the perfect addition for someone ready to give her the security and companionship she deserves!

The adoption fee includes:
Spay/neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue)
Microchip

Your adoption fee also helps support medical care for other rescue animals, including heartworm treatments, surgeries, and emergency care.
Spay/Neuter Policy:
We spay/neuter dogs at 16 weeks or older, at the discretion of the rescue and in consultation with our partner veterinarians. While some veterinarians recommend delaying the procedure based on a breed’s projected size, as a rescue, our primary goal is to prevent unwanted litters. Spaying and neutering also provide significant health benefits, including cancer prevention and reducing behavioral issues.
The American Animal Hospital Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association support pediatric spay/neuter for cats and dogs as early as 8–16 weeks. We carefully assess each case to determine the best timing for the procedure.
