🐾 June Adoption Special: Sweetie 🐾 For the entire month of June, Sweetie and her companion Margie can be adopted TOGETHER with both adoption fees waived. These girls must be adopted together in order for the adoption special to apply. Adopters must have an approved application and meet all standard adoption requirements. Because of their fearful nature, a secure fenced yard will also be required. Sweetie came to us from a high-kill shelter and is still discovering that people and new experiences do not have to be scary. She may never fit the mold of what people think a “typical” dog should be, but the progress she has already made has been incredibly rewarding to watch. Since arriving with us, Sweetie has continued gaining confidence in familiar routines and has started comfortably walking to and from her room. During her time in foster care, she showed tremendous progress and shared plenty of cuddles and sweet moments once she began to feel safe. Sweetie is estimated to be around 3½ years old and is believed to be a Black Mouth Cur mix. She has been friendly with other dogs and children and has shown no reaction to cats other than curiosity. Every adoption includes a free transitional training session and follow-up support to help set both girls and their future family up for success.
