Meet Yama. Yama is a little timid with new humans but such a sweetheart. Sure, Yama loves to run and play like most dogs, but her general demeanor is calm and laid back. Yama was found in rural east Texas and as luck would have it, wandered into a dog lovers maintenance shop. Unable to turn her away, Yama’s savior took her home and reached out to us for help finding her a perfect home. Yama is great with cats and dogs, she is a sweet, beautiful soul. She loves neck rubs and pats on the head. Yama is still learning the ropes of living “the good life” but her canine foster siblings will have her trained in now time. Her foster dad is also working with her to teach basic obedience skills. She already has an A for her leash walking skills.
If you are looking for a water dog, Yama is the one for you. This girl LOVES, loves the water. Any chance she gets, she's immediately in the pool....maybe some lab in this girl. Yama also enjoys snuggles so a night of binge-watching Netflix is fine with Ms. Yama. If you are looking for a sweet, love of a gal, maybe Yama is the one for you. Don't delay, with this sweet face and beautiful personality, we just know her perfect family will find her soon, click over to our website and apply today.

FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING
All adoption fees are non-refundable
If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals.
Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing:
LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records.
SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. **
MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors.
APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.
