Meet Tommie: Tommie is about a 4 year old (as of November 2024) Black Mouth Cur mix (best guess) that weighs about 45 pounds. Tommie was found on the side of the highway picking at a chicken bone. The rescuer (now her foster) pulled over, shook a bag of beggin strips and right in the car she went! Tommie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Tommie is a very sweet and loyal dog. She doesn’t bark and does so well with other dogs and kids! Tommie is not housebroken but she does well in her crate so we don’t think it would take long for her to figure out the process. We would love for Tommie to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Tommie is up to date on her shots and spayed. Elena is a black mouth cur/shepherd mix, and 50-55 lbs. She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to sit;wait to eat her food until she is told to &"go ahead "She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home.
