Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! "If you’re looking for the best behaved puppy at the shelter right now, Stavro is your guy! When I saw 8 months on this boy’s kennel card I was shocked because he was just calmly curled up on his bed. When he saw me he calmly but excitedly came to the front of his cage and was sooo easy to leash. This boy definitely has some training because he walked super well on the leash and was so attentive in the runs. He would plop his butt down into a sit, look adorable, and stay there for however long you needed him to. So treat motivated and eager to please! He was excited to play with his neighbor along the fenceline and did really amazing on his temp tests! He responded very well to a dog who was being very vocal during the TT and didn’t seem phased by it at all. I’m still in shock that he’s just a little baby - he seems so much more mature than that! So if you want the puppy cuteness, but a well behaved, easy dog I think Stavro is the pup for you! He will be such a good boy for whichever family is lucky enough to take him home"

ARRIVING IN THE NORTHEAST ON SATURDAY MARCH 15! adoption donation : $699 weight 34 lbs Age 5 months as of 3/24 Sweet Schatzi and her three sisters, Eva, Gretel and Freya, were left in the driveway at the Wags rescue in Mississippi, an all too common occurrence. The puppies have been having a grand time playing together and snuggling in a puppy pile to nap. They have all been spayed and given their vaccines and are ready for loving homes. All of the girls are around 35 pounds, they were born in late October. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs. Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. Elena is a black mouth cur/shepherd mix, and 50-55 lbs. She is extremely loyal and loves getting cuddles from her people. She likes to nose butt your arm for attention, and absolutely loves squeaky toys. She also will just stare at you with her gorgeous, soft eyes, and will you to scratch or kiss her :) She is house trained, crate trained, and good with other animals/children. Her foster has 6 dogs and 1 cat that she gets along with really well; however, it is worth mentioning that she can get territorial in a new environment with other dogs, so it would be best for her to go to an experienced dog home, or as an only dog. Honestly, she can be with other dogs as long as you are the boss and she knows it :) Elena knows how to sit;wait to eat her food until she is told to &"go ahead "She loves kids, and does well with even the littlest ones hugging on her. One of her favorite hobbies is to watch the squirrels in the backyard. She will sit and watch them for hours, if allowed to! Elena is such a good dog, and is ready for her furever home.
