She would do best as the only dog in the household. Her previous owner shared that Missy does not like cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home is a must. Car rides make her nervous, but once she’s settled at home, she’s a loving and loyal companion. Missy already knows her basic manners—she can sit, stay, and shake—and she absolutely loves kids, making her a wonderful family dog for the right household. Like most Bloodhounds, she sheds quite a bit, so adopters should be prepared for plenty of fur. Missy can resource guard her toys, so she will need an adopter who understands this behavior and can manage it appropriately with structure, training, and supervision. With her goofy charm, affectionate nature, and classic Bloodhound personality, Missy is ready to be someone’s one-and-only best friend.
