This tall and handsome hound is sure to turn heads in your neighborhood! With long giraffe legs, elegantly curved neck, and noble trot, Luther is a majestic hound. Luther has a sweet, mellow, tender spirit. He naps all day and plays with toys quietly in his dog bed. Luther does not need to be the center of attention, and prefers to curl up in closets and out-of-the-way corners. Walks are Luther's happy place! Luther has good leash manners. He occasionally pulls forward to smell a mailbox, but he listens to vocal corrections and his foster mom is able to walk him one handed. When Luther came home from the shelter, he was very stressed, but he still curled up on the floor next to his foster mom's bed. He refused to leave the floor and sleep in a dog bed, so she eventually put down blankets on his chosen spot. Luther is a loyal dog and just wants his own person to love. Luther is very people friendly and enjoys greeting strangers by walking up and gently touching with his nose. Luther will show his love by rubbing his head in your lap and leaning. His foster mom and older neighborhood kids don't mind the leaning, but it is too much for small children and people who are unsteady in their feet. This sweet, gentle giant is looking for his forever home! Apply to adopt or foster-to-adopt!
