Huntley is an adorable Bloodhound/Lab mix pup, born 04/14/2026. He is working on house training and crate training and is good with dogs and children.He is in the cell dog training program. Cell dogs are with an inmate handler in the prison to work on basic commands, house and crate training. Each dog that comes out may have varying levels of training due to their personality and history prior to arriving at the rescue.You can apply on our website:https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html The adoption fee covers deworming, neuter at our vets office (when of age), vaccines (which include DHLPPC, Lyme, Bordetella & Rabies) and microchip with lifetime registration. If you are out of the area, you would be responsible to complete the vetting that has not been completed by the time of adoption.**100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries.Please remember that we are 100 % entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. Nash was found with his littermates and mom abandoned on a county road. We were called to help with them and when our volunteer arrived, she found a group of emaciated, worm infested very sick pups. They were taken to the vet clinic and then tested positive for parvo. Some of the puppies were hospitalized. Nash was not as sick as some of them, and he was able to stay in the fosters home. All of them were treated for parvo, worms and hydrated. They are all cleared now and are healthy silly hound puppies! Nash is the class clown of the group. If he isn't making you laugh its only because he is sleeping! He is outgoing and loves cuddles and play time. If you would be interested in giving this sweet boy a forever home, please contact us!

Story
Phoenix was given his name because of all the puppies he was definitely the most critical. His litter and their mom were found on a county road, emaciated, full of worms and all of them had parvo. We took them all to the vet where they were hospitalized for several days. Phoenix took a turn for the worst and we were very worried he wouldn't make it. Several days later, after meds, fluids and a blood transfusion our little guy rallied! He is such a fighter and came around even though the odds were against him. He is the calmest and reserved of the puppies, contemplating his environment before venturing out. He still loves to play, just more thoughtful. If you would like to give this sweet boy a home and help make the next chapter of his life much better than the beginning, please contact us!!

Ranger and his family had quite the start! He was found on a county road along with her littermates and their mom. They were all very sick when we brought them in, they ended up with severe worms and parvo. They are all little fighters and have fully recovered now! He is a super sweet boy and loves to play with his litter mates. If you would be interested in giving this handsome little guy a home, please contact us!
