Story
This lovable wrinkled hound is Rosco! Rosco is an approximately 1-year old male Bloodhound who will weigh 80-100 lbs. when he has gained some much-needed weight. He was rescued from a neglectful situation. We will let Rosco tell you all about himself and the home he needs! Hi everyone! I'm Rosco, and I'm a lovable ball of wrinkles! I enjoy a lot these days, now that I'm getting regular meals and time with kind people who only want the best for me. Here are some of my favorite things: Walks ~ they are amazing! Being outside ~ one of my most favorite things! I love it when my humans are out with me especially. Playing with other dogs ~ yep love it! I would love a home with another big playful dog like me. Did I mention that I LOVE playing and other dogs! Showing the humans how smart I am ~ I have mastered "sit" and "lay down". I would love a home where I'm included in activities and shown lots of love and attention. I require a very securely fenced yard, as I LOVE to investigate all the sounds and smells of outdoors. Please remember that I am just a big puppy, so I still want to chew on some things, but I'm learning that "shoes" are probably one of those things that I shouldn't chew on. Oops! And, I will be a BIG boy, so be prepared for a big, lovable, pile of wrinkles and unadulterated joy. I am crate, house and leash trained. I am neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative and microchipped. My adoption fee is $225. To adopt Rosco, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application.

Story
Sammy, Sammy, Sammy!  Hi, I’m Sammy—the lovable and handsome pup you’ve been waiting for! I’m 7 months old, weigh about 40 pounds (and I’m still growing), and I’ve got the perfect mix of playful energy and laid-back lounging skills. I’m housetrained, I sleep through the night like a champ, and I’m crate trained too. Okay… I’ll admit it—I sometimes bark like a baby seal when I first go in , but don’t worry, I calm down quickly and then it’s snooze time. I’m also pretty clever—I already know how to sit, stay, and even use the doggy door! I love chew toys, puzzle games, and frozen peanut butter or yogurt treats (seriously, the best!). I play great with other dogs, but I’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only. After a good play session or walk, you’ll usually find me stretched out and lounging right by your side. I’m always up for walks, car rides, or any adventure, as long as I get to be with you. I would really LOVE a large yard to run around in since I still have that puppy energy. I’m playful, cuddly, smart, handsome, and loyal—basically the full package. All I need now is my furever family. Ready to meet Sammy? Cats: Respects the cats in the trainers home but had limited access Kids: No known behavior for concern with kids and has lived with older kids. We are looking for pet parents that provide vet care such as routine vaccines for their pets and heartworm prevention for dogs. Please understand we do cross check vet references and landowners/landlord policies and cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information. We asked that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam in the first 30 days to establish with your vet and obtain their heartworm prevention prescriptions and have a fecal exam administered as some pets may need additional de-womer after leaving our care.    Please submit a  Pre-Adoption Questionnaire by clicking the hyperlink if visible or visiting  Our Home Page to the application link  to show your interest in adoption.
