Story
This handsome hound is Baxter. He is an 18 month old male Hound mix who weighs around 45 lbs. He was rescued from a local shelter, emaciated and dehydrated. He has transformed into a healthy beautiful boy. Baxter loves to play. Needs a home with another playful dog around his size. Is good with dog savvy cats. Until he is used to the other dogs in the home he needs to be fed separately. He loves people and is great with kids (probably no toddlers due to his energy level). Requires a very secure stockade fence & a home visit. He is house-trained, only crated at night (he goes in on his own). He is making progress on leash-training and does better with a harness. Baxter is an affectionate boy who would love a home where he is included in activities and given plenty of love and attention. Baxter is neutered, current on vaccines, current on heartworm preventative and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. To adopt Baxter, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application.

This lovable wrinkled hound is Rosco! Rosco is an approximately 1-year old male Bloodhound who will weigh 80-100 lbs. when he has gained some much-needed weight. He was rescued from a neglectful situation. We will let Rosco tell you all about himself and the home he needs! Hi everyone! I'm Rosco, and I'm a lovable ball of wrinkles! I enjoy a lot these days, now that I'm getting regular meals and time with kind people who only want the best for me. Here are some of my favorite things: Walks ~ they are amazing! Being outside ~ one of my most favorite things! I love it when my humans are out with me especially. Playing with other dogs ~ yep love it! I would love a home with another big playful dog like me. Did I mention that I LOVE playing and other dogs! Showing the humans how smart I am ~ I have mastered "sit" and "lay down". I would love a home where I'm included in activities and shown lots of love and attention. I require a very securely fenced yard, as I LOVE to investigate all the sounds and smells of outdoors. Please remember that I am just a big puppy, so I still want to chew on some things, but I'm learning that "shoes" are probably one of those things that I shouldn't chew on. Oops! And, I will be a BIG boy, so be prepared for a big, lovable, pile of wrinkles and unadulterated joy. I am crate, house and leash trained.
