Maple (10/1/24) is a sweet gentle hound mix that sea a stray brought through Animal Control Services in Washington County. Maple is around 45 pounds, approximately 2 years old and was quite frightened when she was found. Since arriving to her foster home, we have learned a lot about Maple… 🐾 She has had several litters of puppies 🐾 She was fearful of men and strangers approaching her 🐾 She likes other dogs as long as they respect her space. Maple has been 4 dx tested, vaccinated and microchipped. She is scheduled for her spay in a few weeks. Maple loves kids and we will be testing her with cats soon. She is housebroken and now crate trained. This little lady deserves a home where she can be spoiled and receive the love she so deserves. Once a dog that has a tail between her legs is now a happy girl who wags her tail and wiggles her body for her foster parents. Story
Henry was adopted as a sixth month old puppy. Prior to his adoption, he had a rough start where he was seized by police from unfit owners that had him tied up. He was severely malnourished. Henry came home to us with some food aggression, but through training has overcome it. He can be a stubborn bloodhound, like hounds are, but is a good, goofy boy. We are heartbroken to rehome him as we have had him for four years but due to circumstances with our landlord, it’s best for all parties. Henry lives with three cats, four kids, and another dog. He gets along with everyone. He loves to talk, he will talk to you all the time but then he also loves to cuddle and be a couch potato. He needs somewhere he can run but also somewhere he can be loved and cozy up too. We strongly prefer someone who is experienced in hounds but are willing to explore any experienced dog owner. He does have his ears cleaned at home regularly and will come with all of his current ear medication.
