Story
Georgie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill dog pound in West Virginia... Pet Search was contacted and asked if we could rescue him, which we happily did! Georgie is a 7 year old treeing walker coonhound weighing around 55 pounds. He is very lovable and playful and would do well with a family that has older children because of his size. Georgie is housebroken and crate trained but needs to get acclimated to a new schedule. He is fine with larger dogs but has not been cat tested Georgie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Applications s are available at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog or petsearchpa.org KL#03301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Meet handsome Lamar....this 2.5 year old plott hound/lab mix is 72 pounds of sweetness! He was picked up as a stray in St Thomas in February 2022 and spent months in the shelter where he shut down, not wanting to eat, walk or play. Neil, a volunteer at the shelter, fostered him and loved him until Neil left the island to work stateside. Instead of placing Lamar back in the shelter, the Pets With Wings Program brought him to Pet Search! Lamar loves other dogs and will thrive with a fur-sibling or two! and once he becomes comfortable, he will join and play, almost to the point of exhaustion! Lamar is very skittish when first meeting people and will bark out of anxiety, and will back away. After several weeks in foster care, he is warming up to his foster parents. Lamar needs time to adjust to new surroundings and will have accidents while feeling comfortable. He loves to sleep in bed or on a sofa, but is crate trained also. Lamar has shown no reactiveness to cats and would be a great playmate for older children due to his size and weight. Applications can he found at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog KL#03301 Washington PA 15301

Story
Remy was on her last legs when she first arrived 2 years ago, emaciated and neglected. Despite her misfortunes, she had a positive energy, and an expression that makes you think she has some super-important secret that she might share under the right conditions. She was in a home for nearly 2 years, put on a few extra pounds, but was returned due to what was described as some reactivity to children. A recent short placement left her too bored, leading to her releasing her hunting energy by gnawing on the door and the carpet. Remy is a stubborn but incredibly loving hound who can drop to the floor and refuse to budge or sashay on leash depending on her mood. But she will look deep into your soul, give you endless kisses and is begging for a routine filled with leisurely walks and some brain engaging activity. She is best suited in an adult home or with older kids. With the eyes of a Disney character Remy is quite endearing. Seemingly gentle, Remy has been around other dogs, and may be a nice companion for another dog that she meshes well with.
