Story
Meet Dax, the wrinkly-faced, nub-tailed sweetheart you didnt know you needed! At 2 years old and 48 pounds, this adorable bloodhound mix has perfected the art of wiggly hellos and melt-your-heart cuddles. His little tail nub never stops wagging, and his big floppy ears are just as lovable as his gentle personality.Dax is a total toy enthusiaststuffies, squeakies, you name it, hes in! He loves playing with other dogs (though hes a little shy at first) and is happiest when he has a buddy to romp around with. Hes low-to-moderate energy, which means after some fun zoomies in the morning and evening, hes perfectly content to snuggle up for long, cozy naps with his people or his foster sister.Hes a big fan of walks, trips to the park, car rides, andhis personal favoritepupscicles! He has lived peacefully with other dogs and would love to have a furry sibling to keep him company. We think hed also do just fine with older, dog-savvy kiddos. Since Dax isnt crate trained and can get into a little mischief if left alone, his best fit will be a home where someone is around often or where he has a canine buddy to ease his separation anxiety.Dax does have an enlarged heart, but the cardiologist says its not something to worry about right nowand honestly, it just matches his personality, because this boy is ALL heart. His perfect day? Morning playtime, a few tail-wagging greetings, a tasty pupscicle, and then curling up for a nap in a warm lap. Dax is ready to shower his forever family with wiggles, cuddles, and love that never runs out. If youre looking for a loyal companion who will love you with his whole (very special) heart, Dax is ready to wiggle right into your life. If you would like to meet Dax, please complete an application on our website: www.crcpa.org/online-application

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Cindy Lou - Your Future Tail Wagging Bundle of Joy💛 At just one year old (born 2/24/25) and 70 pounds of pure love, CindyLou somehow manages to be both a big dog and a professional cuddler. Seriously—she missed the memo that large dogs are supposed to take up space. Cindy prefers to gently lean into you like she’s trying to become a part of you. Velcro? More like super glue with a heartbeat. CindyLou is the definition of easygoing. She gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, politely ignores barn cats (yes, ignores them… we were shocked too), and has zero interest in bothering horses. She’s basically the Switzerland of the animal world—neutral, peaceful, and minding her business. She would do great with a canine sibling that is looking for a BFF to play, snuggle and share life with. She’s learning her “sit” like a champ, walks nicely on leash, and stays close when off-leash like your soft, slightly oversized shadow. Her hobbies include strolls, quiet companionship, and perfecting the art of doing absolutely nothing… right next to you. Cindy is low-to-medium energy, which means she’s not here to train for a marathon—but she will happily accompany you on a neighborhood stroll or a hiking trail and then clock in for a full shift of couch supervision. She is slightly on the wider side and could use a few more of those strolls, her ideal weight should be more around 60lbs. Bonus: she’s incredibly quiet and wonderfully well-mannered. No drama, no chaos—just vibes. The only thing missing from CindyLou’s life? A home of her own. She’s spent her entire puppyhood in rescue, patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she is. And trust us—once she leans into you, you’ll get it. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you endlessly, keep your feet warm, and remind you daily that you are, in fact, her favorite human… CindyLou is your girl. Apply today at haydudeequine.org - She’s been storing up all her love... just for you!! 🐾

Story
Current Location: Frederick, MD Meet Retta Lynn Retta Lynn is a 6 year young, 45 pound Bloodhound mix with soulful searching eyes and long, silky ears that seem to exist purely for petting. She is equal parts curious explorer and affectionate companion. Personality Retta Lynn is a sweet, engaging girl who loves to play. She enjoys chasing the ball, squeaky toys, and exploring her surroundings like she is on an important mission. She has a voice and is not afraid to use it. A little commentary is part of her charm. She is also known to test the counter surfing limits, but she is learning the house rules and improving with guidance. Energy and Activity Retta Lynn enjoys walks and is learning her leash manners. She is doing well and getting better with consistency. She has a nice balance. She will play, explore, and engage, then settle in and relax once she has had her fun. The Details That Matter • Sweet and affectionate • Enjoys toys and playtime • Loves walks and outdoor time • Learning leash skills • Smart and responsive with guidance Best Home Fit Retta Lynn would do well in a home that enjoys a little personality and a little conversation. She would thrive with someone who will continue her training, keep her active, and appreciate her playful spirit. If you are looking for a dog with character, heart, and those irresistible ears just waiting to be stroked, Retta Lynn is ready to follow her nose right into your life.

Story
Meet Ole Red 🐾❤️ This handsome 10-year-old bloodhound is basically a retired detective… but instead of chasing criminals, he’s on the case for comfy couches, tasty treats, and good company. With that classic bloodhound nose, Ole Red might catch a scent or two on walks—but don’t worry, this gentle soul is much more about enjoying the journey than rushing the destination. Ole Red is the definition of a laid-back senior gentleman 🛋️ He’s sweet, calm, and happiest when he’s near his people—whether you’re young, old, or somewhere in between. He’s got that big-dog presence (and strength on leash 💪), but underneath it all is just a soft-hearted guy who wants to love and be loved. Red has “cat match potential” 🐱 and could peacefully coexist with the right feline friend. When it comes to other dogs, Ole Red can be a bit selective, so a dog-to-dog meet is recommended to make sure it’s a good match. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with soulful eyes, a gentle spirit, and just a hint of goofy hound charm, Ole Red is ready to follow his nose straight into your heart 🐶💕
