You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. "My Home to Yours"   Here is Bo, whose caregivers found him as a stray at the Smith Mountain Lake Dam in a neighboring county. When he stayed around for a few days in the area, they broke down and took him to their home to keep him safe. Bo has seen their family vet and is nice and healthy now, and has made himself right at home. He fits in well with their other dogs, but they feel he outsizes them and really want to find him a home where he can use those long legs and BIG VOICE more freely! Five years old, 85 pounds, gentle! Send us an application and we will forward it to the family!   We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update on Mason! Mason is currently in FOBCAS foster care. Mason’s foster Mom says he is doing great! “Mason was really skiddish at first, didn’t want to walk in the house, wouldn’t move off the couch, etc. but in the last couple days he’s really warmed up. He now walks all around the house and plays with one of my dogs. He walks around the fenced area by himself and comes up to the door when he’s ready to come back inside. He loves the kids and is always wagging his tail when they’re around/petting him.  He also loves to cuddle and be close when we’re laying down.” Mason is learning what it’s like to be a house dog now. We imagine he was discarded because he does not want to hunt. Mason is going to be an amazing addition to some lucky family.  For more information please email us at fobcasfriends@gmail.com.
