Story
Meet Lady Lady is a beautiful female Bloodhound with the sweetest soul. This gentle girl has been through more than any dog ever should. She was found starving and severely emaciated after being dumped and left to fend for herself in the cold. Despite the heartbreak in her past, Lady’s spirit has remained incredibly loving and trusting. She’s still working on gaining back some healthy weight, but she’s making wonderful progress every day. With good meals, warm blankets, and caring hands, Lady is blossoming into the happy, affectionate dog she was always meant to be.True to her Bloodhound nature, Lady loves to follow her nose and take in the world around her—but her favorite thing to follow is her people. She absolutely adores humans and will happily stay by your side, especially if you happen to have a snack in hand. Treats are definitely the way to her heart!Due to her rough past, Lady prefers not to share her space, or her food, with other dogs. She thrives on companionship with her people.Lady is looking for a forever home where she will never again know hunger or abandonment—only love, security, and plenty of treats. If you’re ready to open your heart to a resilient, loyal, food-loving sweetheart, Lady is ready to meet you. What her adoption fee covers:&#226&#156&#133 Spay&#226&#156&#133 Vaccines&#226&#156&#133 Microchip&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Lady? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: $350For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Bryce is a 4-year-old Coonhound weighing 55 lbs who is looking for a new home where he can thrive. He is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who is excellent with children and people of all ages. He is also very social and gets along great with other dogs, both large and small. Bryce is semi-trained and has a solid foundation with basic commands like "place," "down," "sit," and "heel." He is already neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. As is typical for his breed, Bryce has a prey drive toward cats and cannot be placed in a home with them. He has recently shown that a standard 4.5-foot fence is not enough to keep him contained when he is focused on a scent or a chase. Because of this, he requires a home with a secure 6-foot privacy fence or a rural property where he can be safely managed. Bryce is a well-behaved and loving family dog who is simply an environmental mismatch for his current yard. He will come with all of his belongings

Story
I was given Cooper by a homeless man. I didnt realize how much work a large dog would be. He needs a yard and access to running. He needs space. We have None. He doesnt jump fences has never tried to dig holes. When we previously had a yard. He will dig through trash, he isnt perfect on a leash especially if he hasn't been walked. Not his fault. I would not recommend a small children as he is very large. We have a 10 yr old and they get along just fine. He is low maintenance.
